Had a discussion about kneeling with a black woman today

Had a 71 year old black female come to my clinic today. Discussion veered towards the kneeling controversy. She said she had 2 sons that both fought in Afghanistan. Said the day they came back home, they kissed the flag and said people don't realize how lucky they are to live in the USA. She teared up as she talked about how disrespectful all of those players are being and even though this country is not without fault, it's still by far, greater than any other country in the world.
Found it very interesting that this woman, whom I guarantee has seen more racism towards blacks than these pampered athletes will all see combined, was angry at their protest.
Yes, Dear Facebook, CSB, etc., but thought some of you may enjoy this little blurb.

Lord love her. Believe me, a 71 yr old black woman has been exposed to unreal raceist behavior in her life. These athletes of today have very little appreciation as to how far in a good way race relations have come. In the past 50 yrs.

Well buddy, just like we don't get to tell the left what they should be offended over you don't get to question that we're offended about kneeling during the anthem.

Then, you've obviously never been to Afghanistan, Iraq, and any one of a number of other shitholes ... and been shot at, rocketed, mortared, seen extreme poverty, human misery, etc.
Otherwise ... you'd likely see the connection.
Maybe you should give it a try ... let us know how it goes.

Thought this was going to go in a whole different direction.
When I have discussions with a woman about kneeling it belongs in th O-T not the poli board!

Aunt Jemima?

Obviously shes seen some tough and her kids made great sacrifices. But this protest by NFL players has nothing to do with the military
