First, I wonder why Gowdy completely left out the quoteS on only the citizens of states that set up their own exchanges are eligible for the subsidy?

Second, I do think that Gowdy really missed some golden opportunities here.

Finally, I wonder if Obama was actually in the room when Gruber was given his talking points and rehearsed prior to his going before this committee. I would BET ANYTHING that Valarie Jarrett was there. You could tell that every answer was plan, staged and rehearsed over and over and over again. And, you know that this really had to irritate and grate someone with this big of an ego.

It was asked, and answered as once.

I don't think this was asked...

The question I would have asked him at the end would have been --

It's clear that you've have been taught and rehearsed to come before this committee and regurgitate Obama/ObamaCare talking points, mainly by throwing yourself on the proverbial sword. Who exactly did you meet with in planning for your rehearsed statements before this committee? Who was involved with your practicing to regurgitate these B.S. answers? Who came up with these talking points? Finaly, how much is it killing you that someone is making you come before this committee to tell us how "wrong," "stupid," and "insensitive" your comments were when you know you did nothing be tell the truth in all those comments you made at the MANY meetings where you made them?

It was asked and answered 3 or 4 times. He met with Obama once in a meeting where he was one of 6 experts and there were many (10-15?) other administration officials there. He spoke for 5 minutes. He was asked if someone else was there and he said yes.

I don't believe that he was ever asked if he met with anyone else specifically.

He was asked to give the number of times he visited the White House. One guy said he had info that it was 21 times. Gruber replied that it was less than 20 but couldn't give an exact number. This seems to be a big issue every freaking hearing as visiting the "White House" seems to include different buildings for different people.

He was asked that. He said he wrote the statement and reviewed it with his lawyer.

I would have had a copy of the amicus brief filed with the lower courts (including the Federal Court of Appeals) on behalf of the Obama Administration in which he stated that the part of the law which CLEARLY STATES that only citizens that sign up through a state exchange are eligible for a subsidy was STRICTLY A "TYPO" -- despite his earlier admissions on video tape that it was intended that way. I would have pointed out that this amicus brief -- WHICH HE SIGNED AND IN WHICH HE WAS EXTENSIVELY CITED AND QUOTED -- was filed before all of these video tapes surfaced.

I would then point out (and ask him if he realizes) that any mention about him was completely taken out of the current filings before the Supreme Court.

I would then ask him if he realizes that lying to a federal court -- even in an amicus brief -- is a crime? Further, it's been established that you're a liar -- even to the point of committing perjury before a federal court -- so why should anyone believe this B.S. act of contrition you've obviously been rehearsed to regurgitate before this committee?

The appalling arrogance and dishonesty of this guy certainly confirms my negative opinion of Democrats and politicians in general.

This whole episode though it a perfect example of how Democrats think they know what's best for everyone and are nothing but power hungry bureaucrats who want to control every aspect of our lives.....and will flat out lie about their intentions even when caught red-handed. They are no different than the cold war communists in China and the Soviet Union when it comes to their attitudes about the relationship between a government and its citizens.

I know it's a simpleton type book, Animal Farm is exactly what these pigs apparently use as their guide to government and politics.

Ok, so the "official" stance is to repeatedly respond with "glib and thoughtless." Got it.

But, doesn't that describe the Barry's ENTIRE administration?

I'm not talking about the "statement" -- I'm talking about the rest of his talking points he had obviously rehearsed -- you know the repeated mentions of "glib" and "thoughtless" and all the other buzzwords in which he never had to admit that he was nothing but a f*cking LIAR because someone found the videos of his ONLY truthful "public" statements to date about ObamaCare.

I hope every one understood Gowdy's point; when you make glib statements on video TEN TIMES, are they really glib?

F' no.

Everyone knows Gruber was speaking the true on those videos and lying out of his arse to congress yesterday.

This is so unbelievable. I mean who runs a consulting business and doesn't understand their revenue stream?

And how many times do you suppose he said those same "glib" things in other conferences, meeting rooms, and faculty lounges that weren't taped.

He was asked about that too. Same answer. Most of the "glib" etc. quotes were in the written statement as well.

Probably a ton. I bet 90% of the Congressmen from both parties have called voters "stupid" or something similar when the cameras aren't rolling. A few I think have said such things when the cameras were on.

His statements were correct. The majority of people are really stupid. I mean we (as a group of voters) re-elect someone who was caught on camera smoking crack with a prostitute.

I suspect Gruber believed he was being glib yesterday in the hearing.

This video was shown in detail on Megyn Kelly's program, and since you are not aware of exactly what the Congresswoman said, I'll enlighten you. Fighting strong emotions, as her husband did die, she went through the whole process her husband had to fight through to get the treatment he needed. And he kept getting the runaround. Several times around. Finally, battling decaying health, he finally gave up & said the hell with it, to paraphrase. So it was not a matter of not being able to afford care, they were both just fed up with all the B.S. associated with ObamaCare; said while staring right at Gruber & telling him that this was not just a "glib" thing for them, it was extremely personal. She stated quite clearly that she was not making the point that she was accusing Gruber/ObamaCare of killing her husband, so there was nothing "inferred". But her point was quite clear & well expressed.
