So is it considered an accidental death or something?

Now this is a real travesty which would have been a much better case for anti-police protesters to rally around than Michael Brown.

EDIT: There was no indictment in the John Crawford killing either.

ME ruled it a homicide. Guess it goes down as a justifiable homicide since the officer isn't charged.

this, especially since it was ruled a homicide already.

Much better story to base action off of IMHO.

Not really. Would have been extremely difficult to get a conviction and no way was anyone convinced a crime was committed.

Yeah. This one is far more legit than Mike Brown. This is a much better rallying cry.

This is true just because the Michael Brown case is THAT dumb. Feel bad for everyone involved that he died but typically people don't die when they are put in a chokehold. The video really didn't look that aggressive to me. Can;t believe he died, very sad.

Edit- If this is true (This is a law enforcement officer breaking NYPD policy (enacted in 2010)) and that it was banned then yea they should definitely be in jail.

So explain this to me. If a regular citizen is speeding (breaking the law) and loses control and kills someone, that person is more than likely going to jail, much less getting indicted for some form of homicide.

This is a law enforcement officer breaking NYPD policy (enacted in 2010) which results in the accidental death of someone. So this isn't even worthy of an indictment? How can this be defended?

there is no defense except the benefit of the doubt that cops get.

I think there's a good chance that Eric Holder might actually step in and do something other than talk in this case.

I can't believe this. That guy was screaming "I can't breathe!" If a grand jury wouldn't indict that cop I don't know who they would indict. Murder caught on video. He was suspected of selling loose cigarettes, that's it.

speeding
is breaking the law. But I doubt simple speeding (<10 mph) would result in negligent homicide conviction.

breaking NYPD policy
is probably not the law. So...
