Conflating groups with believe in ethnic cleansing with groups that don't is a significant problem. Obviously.

It depends on the two groups. Either way, there likely isn't as much separation between the two as you think or as little as many here think. Both groups are full of ignorant people and both are few in numbers.

This is what I replied to:

In your mind, taxes are a bigger concern than ethnic cleansing.

In this country, taxes are indeed a bigger concern than ethnic cleansing.

but I think those people who were not white supremacists who showed up to the torchlight rally that Friday in Charlottesville, heard the Nazi chants of 'blood and soil' and 'jews will not replace us', and stayed protesting?

I would have stayed but mover away from anyone chanting that kind of garbage. If I felt strongly enough about something to protest, I wouldn't let a vocal idiot run me off. If I did I would never be able to leave my house.

Trump did not specify Friday in his comment.

From the transcript:

quote:

you take a look the night before, they were there to protest the taking down of the statue of the Robert E. Lee.

a few cross-talks later...

quote:

You have some very bad people in that group, but you also had people that were very fine people on both sides. You had people in that group — excuse me, excuse me — I saw the same pictures as you did. You had people in that group that were there to protest the taking down of, to them, a very, very important statue and the renaming of a park from Robert E. Lee to another name.

He wouldn't want to say too many nice things about Saturday, considering the outcome.

I disagree.

The left isn't just as bad as the Nazis.

They are demonstrably worse.

Buy a history book.

Exactly. Antifa bitches about Nazi's but they act exactly like the brownshirts did. They are the real Nazi's.

But that is what the left does best. Accuse the right of doing Nazi things when they haven't, yet time and time again it is the crazy worthless a-hole leftists who riot, steal, attack people and burn shite down.

And just like there are no folks like that in power to bring about their disgusting ideology, there are no white supremacists in power to bring about theirs.

So we're down to espousing ideology.

White supremacists espouse nazi ideology. AntiFa espouses communist ideology.

Therefore they are BOTH evil.

Political genocide has a strange admirability to it if you are a hardened leftist, I think.

One organization has the stated goal of eradicating certain races/religions/ethinicities from the country.

The other does not.

Simple, really.

Stephen Miller. Seb Gorka. Until recently, Steve Bannon.

Suuuure, there are no people in power who believe in white supremacy.

It's not different no matter how hard you spin. Killing people because they disagree with you is no more virtuous than killing people because they don't look like you.

OK, let's follow this back a bit.

quote:

quote:

Mao, Pol Pot, Stalin, Margaret Sanger...

In the US? Today?

quote:

quote:

Nazis/white nationalists

That it hasn't happened here doesn't diminish the fact that it's a stated goal of the group they say is "just as bad" as a group counter-protesting them.

Now, which way do you want it? Why is one group simply counter-protesting, but they don't really believe the shite they follow, but the other has a tangible goal of ethnic cleansing. You've already admitted it isn't happening, so what makes one all about rhetoric, but not the other?

The way it is. Your communist boogeyman is non-existent and not a large element of the counter-protestors in Charlottesville. On the other hand, the Nazi element protesting the statue removal was quite a large majority - as evidenced by the chants etc.

Not sure why this is so hard for you, tbh
