I liked it better when the government directly gave out staple food items instead of a card.

Quick-
Let's build a time machine and take this information back to LBJ! The war on poverty will never happen!

Jesse Jackson is a race baiting con man. It's all he knows.

I would be happy if it was set up more like wic. I am all for helping people if they need to get to their feet but they should not be given whatever they want. If the state is paying for it, then the state should have a say on what it is spent on. Milk, eggs, lunchmeat, cereal, bread, juice. Maybe formula.

Stop having kids until you can afford them...that's what most normal people would do...

Very sad to see that we have once again turned our backs against the most needy in society.

Because not everyone wants to join the capitalist class and enrichen the oligarchs. Because not everyone is a maker, some by nature are takers.

Are you trying to make his point? Or, is this a "everyone is handicapped" argument?

what? So you think it's ok for some to deliberately do nothing and live off of others, when they are fully capable?

Sorry man, but it's not about the Oligarchs when you need to fricking eat!

It is a great idea, but who watches the kids while they work? Daycare will cost more than giving people food stamps.

Who is watching and feeding them now? The schools are feeding them now. This summer they are starting a summer lunch program. Why not cut off the fat bitches and have school year round.

Republican State Rep. Greg Morris, according to the outlet, countered this by stating, “this is about protecting taxpayer dollars from abuse and taking people off the cycle of dependency.”

Morris reportedly added that the huge drop in numbers of dependents Georgia has seen “shows how tax dollars are abused when it comes to entitlements.”

I think you are confusing needy with lazy.

It's time for us to get rid of the welfare state. The Dems have lost credibility and logic is on our side. Time to go on offense.
