Appreciate the reasoned thinking.

CBO scoring bills in a vacuum with no consideration of the effect of the bill outside of the 4 corners of the change itself.
Consider how wildly off the CBO was when scoring Obamacare.

As someone who does taxes for a living these tax cuts will be great for middle class. I ran a projection on my income around 100K, married and one child assuming this years taxes vs. the proposed tax cuts and I would have saved approximately 5K in taxes assuming I stayed in the same 25% bracket. I would have spent it or paid off debt which would increase my spending power which would lead me to eat out another night a week or buy more beer or play more golf or whatever but I would spend more. So would 95% of americans because thats our behavior. We have more cash, we buy more. I agree with going all in on supply side economics. Its human behavior to spend excess cash thus stimulating the economy and demand for goods.
That's cool, but I'm going to go with the former director of the CBO on this one.

But never has a dynamically scored analysis concluded that a proposal would “pay for itself with growth,” and no serious economist would make such a claim. At best, according to the prevailing consensus, the positive feedback effect from tax cuts would recoup in the range of 25 to 35 percent of the cost.

a want, why do you treat wapo as gospel when they literally don't hide the fact that they are an anti-trump rag?
Do you not read any other site?

Well....let's cut to the chase then.
Do you actually think these proposed cuts would actually result in a net positive in terms of federal revenue?
C'mon man.
It's funny.
When Obama plunged us into trillions of dollars of more debt this place went nuts.
Trump's tax plan will do the same and nary a complaint.
All that matters is he's on their team.

No.
But there will be a real offset from economic growth that the CBO won't score.

The thing is, you can't both cut taxes and not cut parts of the government.
Ask Arizona sometime how that went when the republicans here did that.
It wasn't pretty

I don't know what's gotten into you recently, but your post history as of late suggests that you've gone off the deep end.
Take a breather. Everything is going to be OK.

I've explained this many times. I have a subscription. I pay for the Washington Post because I'm (believe it or not) interested in politics. They are the best political paper on the planet.

Not editorial-wise.
Your man john kasich got 65% negative coverage from wapo according to data

Exactly. I suggest you get off your one trick pony and let's see how this shakes out.

And you were silent then, so you are what you are.
But, if Obama had spent what he spent because of all the money he let us keep, people might have actually had a different response. Did that ever cross your mind?

Is this the same CBO who thought the last fiscal year there would be less than 600 billion added to the debt.
It was 1.4 Trillion. Yeah, that's a real reliable source.

Well....the point is: this is a guy who know what he's talking about and he calls it a fairy tale.
