That said, WWL 870 AM was reporting this morning that Trump said that New Orleans is next in so many words.
I honestly don't know what's best to fix the problem, but isn't that exactly what the federal government is here for? To come in if Local/State govt. can't figure it out. It's obvious that our local officials will be opposed to this with (some) good reason. But, where do you stand?
Our govt is supposed to work for us. I say, let er rip! When I have to be concerned about getting shot driving through New Orleans East (while on the fricking Interstate), it's time for something stronger...hopefully, without the bullshite.

Other than Saints home games, I have rarely been to New Orleans since the national guard pulled out. It may take them coming back before I do anything outside of Saints games again. frick that shite hole.

The Feds play a very important role in crime
In New Orleans. I'm also told Trumps actions have indirectly hindered the prosecution of crimes here( I voted for him calm down repubs) Because the lack of US Attorneys caused when Trump fired most of the hold overs there have been almost no new inditements in the Eastern District. Thus some of the hardened criminals are getting a pass while Trump works to hire attorneys. Plus the Feds have the power to do sweeping raids under RICO that can take out complete gangs at once that also Isn't happening at the moment.
