Hooray!
Since we cant come straight out and ban the First Amendment, lets throttle down the ability of those we disagree with so their voice can't be heard.

You guys should have more faith and quit with the fake scare tactics.
Free market will balance it out.

This seems to be an tons issue people on both sides of the political spectrum agree on yet POTUS isn't listening.

Sites like Tigerdroppings will have to pay, or literally go away overnight.

What fake scare tactics??? Literally ISPs have already proposed fast lanes.

What in the past 20 years of ISPs has proven that? Taking away NN will make it harder for there to be a free market. B/c upstarts who want to challenge the big boys will not even be given the chance.

Keep the God damned government out of the internet.

TD wont go away but an ISP can make it almost unusable unless we pay to access it.

You really think any ISP gives two shits about TD?
The only companies ISP throttling might affect are the big content providers like Netflix, Amazon, Google, Facebook, etc.
Which is why they're the ones leading the charge for net neutrality. They don't give a frick about net neutrality or you. What they do give a frick about is actually having to fork out money for their peering and CDNs.

The ISP market will never be a true "free market".
This x 1000000000
The marority of folks have zero option on who their ISP is, if they do have an option there is likely 2-3 choices max.
There is no free market involved here, the only way this is a good idea is if you force the ISP's into giving others ISP's access through their connection and break up their monopolies.
For example if my only choice is ATT as a ISP what free market principles are involved? What choice do I have?
This means ATT now gets to decide what news I see, what shows I watch, and where I shop.
This is horrible for the consumer.

We already pay for internet access.

so you want an already expensive bill to sky rocket?
Expensive compared to what exactly? Nobody is twisting your arm to pay for anything. Do you quit paying for gas when it goes up? You going to stop your internet service when the bill goes up?
BTW, my response was to the question about paying for TDs. You sound like a Democrat in Arkansas wanting free shite all the time.

See that little section for news. Say an ISP stumbles across the Poliboard and doesn't like its right leaning ways. Well guess what lets slow it down.

We already pay to use the internet.
Not one single packet of traffic is more important than the other. Prioritizing traffic and making users pay more for packets isn't free market or American.

So it has not physically happened.
Most Americans have choices for ISP with the cable/satellite/cellular world now. I have about 10 different options where I live
It would take a lot of collusion between companies to kill it.
