Which is why Kaep was shite-canned.

I don't really care about this argument at all, but Kaep is the only 49ers jersey in the top 30 jersey sales despite the fact that he doesn't even play for them anymore.

I will not pay for sports packages like ESPN.

They have lost the direction of the programing for sports and are now using it like Disney for a vehicle to political pressure.

When observing traditions and not hating your own country is considered playing politics.

We all wish you weren't playing.

There is nothing political about a NATIONAL anthem. We are all a part of this nation and the anthem (and flag for that matter) represents a time to come together as one united country and one people to pay respects to those who have made the ultimate sacrifice - so that SJWs are free to hold picket signs, block highways, and peacefully throw bricks through windows, while the rest of us work and pay taxes.

But for all of their faux outrage about alleged intolerances and discrimination at work in society today, the left always shows itself to be the least tolerant and least willing to set apart differences and come together as one country when it matters.

These players like Bennett are going to keep on till they ruin the NFL and have to get real jobs like the rest of us.

Even the colors of the shield and their fetish for the military invoke it.

Well, maybe the players should quit if it bothers them so much

Reciting the anthem and flying your countries colors is not political. It's country pride you stupid bastard.

To the left(Those that hate the American way of life). It is absolutely political.

So just being patriotic and showing respect for the country you live in is political? I would disagree, you don't use your left hand if you're liberal and your right if you're republican. We all should stand and honor our flag, it's America.

My response is not about right or wrong. I am glad the Anthem is played.

That being said, it is political if one's response or lack of response to the Anthem becomes political.

It is a shame that this country has come to this, but we have cultivated or at least allowed a culture where being American in America is political.

See the issues with CA kids wearing US Flags on their shirt and getting in trouble because it may be offensive to the Hispanic students.

We should stop worrying what a bunch of 25 year Olds think just because they get payed to play a sport.

StrongSafety...creating new "alt-right" members 24/7 - 365.25! Disenfranchising moderates is why Hillary lost, it is why Colin K. hasn't signed a contract, and it is a reason ESPN is dying. I know of a half dozen people who were "never Trumpers" that can't wait to pull the lever for him in a few years. Keep up the good work though.

This kind of shite turns sports fans off. ESPN going full SJW is a horrible business plan. People watch sports to escape from their daily lives, including politics. The more they double down on their current business model, the more viewers they'll hemorrhage.

Exactly. I live in Cola, which isn't exactly a Republican or Trump stronghold. You'd be surprised at how many people I've talked to who were solidly anti-Trump but admit that the leftist proggies are pushing them increasingly to his corner.
