Thanks

I knew there was more to it.

Like I said earlier. They spew partial stories to uninformed voters who are too stupid to look further into details.

It's not legal, but businesses can get away with it, if women can't find out how much their male colleagues are being payed for doing the same job.

The bill would have forced businesses to reveal this information.

So...it would have sowed discontent in workplaces (there's a lot more than just discrimination as to why employees are prohibited from discussing their salaries).

So it's like every other illegal thing. Super. Let's pass 80 more laws to make it really, really illegal.

Bill Clinton and Ted Kennedy are figure heads for the Democrats Elizabeth. You know, two men who abused women and ruined their lives.

Is it talking about starting salary? As in, person A with the same exact education and experience starts at the same exact salary as person B?

Or does it account for experience, education, performance evaluations, etc?

Just because two people do the same job doesn't mean they should be paid the same. Experience and performance play a big part in determining salary.

That's an easy attitude to have when it's easy to assume another group isn't making more than you because of what you are versus who you are.

From the summary:
quote:

Amends the Civil Rights Act of 1964 to require the EEOC to collect from employers pay information data regarding the sex, race, and national origin of employees for use in the enforcement of federal laws prohibiting pay discrimination.

There it is...that's what they REALLY want. Talk about a demagogue's wet dream...

So, should all salaries and compensation be public information?

I think that would be too much even for the proponents. They'd settle for just the white males, though

Probably not. But it's easy to discount the issue when it will never apply to you.

I'd be fine with it in the public sector (GA's state government already does this).

Private businesses? Hell no.

No, it's an easy attitude to have because it's the truth.

Of course, I know you dolts on the left don't like being told to mind your own business. DWI.
