Elizabeth Warren is a dishonest hack.

So she's in good company there in the Senate.

Equal pay for equal work is already the law of the land and has been for 50 years.

And I wouldn't be surprised if every Democrat in the US Senate is violating that law, including Warren herself.

I laugh every time I hear some dumbass Democrat talking about the GOP "War on Women"

Which party had Edward "What Dead Girl In My Car" Kennedy as its "Lion" of the Senate?

Which party had Bill "Sexual Harassment is not just a hobby" Clinton as its President (and still a leader in that party)?

Which party has either directly, or through proxies, completely savaged political females with whom they disagree (for example, Sarah Palin, Nikki Haley)?

Republicans did vote against equal pay for women.

Isn't that proof enough for you that they are against women making as much as men?

I mean how much proof do you need?

Is there a link to this anywhere in this thread? I don't feel like going back and looking.

Is it currently legal to discriminate on the basis of gender?

udtiger, did you intend to make E. W.'s case prima facie? You inadvertently proved her point with your White House example.

Unless her point was "This legislation was a pure political sham to give my hypocritical party talking points for November," I don't think I did.

I think it's funny how she is trying to make this an issue because the last time it came up the worst offender on this was the Obama White House

Here's the vote:

LINK

Note the title of the proposed piece of legislation:

"A bill to amend the Fair Labor Standards Act of 1938 to provide more effective remedies to victims of discrimination in the payment of wages on the basis of sex, and for other purposes."

Their vote against cloture was based upon the fact that legislation was simply a way to create more litigation opportunities for America's lawyers. THE BILL HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH PROVIDING EQUAL PAY FOR EQUAL WORK - only with issues involving claims that employers did not follow the existing law on said subject.

WAR(ren) on Women indeed.
