Ebola Nurse in Maine Takes a Bike Ride - Cops Follow

This is ridiculous. Look at the video. Her house is in the middle of nowhere. There is zero chance she is going to infect someone while hiking or riding her bike. I bet she would have a tough time finding a crowd of people near her house except for the throng of reporters and cops outside. Jeez.

Answer: Yes
Conclusion: Why not take the prudent step of requiring a 21 day isolation period for these people?
The bike ride may not have posed a threat to anyone, but either you have a 21 day isolation period or you don't. We've already seen people riding the subway, going bowling, going to a restaurant, etc, so leaving it up to the discretion of the individual healthcare worker doesn't always result in wise decisions.

Check your facts, mmcgrath. There's currently a healthcare worker with Ebola. Brantley also returned with the virus, and their have been others whose names I don't know.
Not saying there's been a bunch of them. But the problem in Africa seems to be getting worse, and soon we're going to have hundreds of military personnel returning from Africa.
The problem, mmcgrath, is that you don't know who will or will not catch the virus. Therefore, limiting their contacts for a 21day period seems like a wise move to me.

There is VERY little to fear so long as it is contained within the human population of this country.
Let it get into the animal population (as in Africa) and the concern gets really ramped up.

A better example would be locking up your teenager during peak traffic hours to avoid the possibility of them being involved in a wreck.

Why are so many liberals adamantly opposed to taking hardly any measures in an attempt to contain the potential spread of Ebola? I swear I don't get it.
This virus appears to be very hard to catch. I think we all know that. But, there have been some missteps and there have subsequently been a couple or so cases here in America.
What in the world is wrong with taking a couple of common sense steps to help FURTHER ENSURE that this virus doesn't spread? Limit exposure for 21 days for these healthcare people, and then let them go on with the rest of their lives. What could possibly be wrong with that?
