My interpretation is that these SJW bitches got a little criticism, but because they live in their own bubble, that little bit of pointed criticism was a "fricking firing squad." A Republican that won't lie down and take it? What a fascist!

He is? I'd say the person who literally cried when Hillary lost would more appropriately fit that description, guy.

Off the record or not, if Trump went nuclear on these guys the way the Post suggests, it would have leaked out all over the place by now. The press may not be friendly or fair to Trump but doing this would have made mortal enemies of every head of every major news outlet. No one would be that stupid to invite the entire gang together to make an arse of yourself.

He needs to learn how to take criticism more lightly. Do you really want a person constantly pointing the finger running this country?

I fully expect leaks like this to come out over the next 4 years. Trump has unabashedly called out the media and rightfully so.

According to the article, "A second source confirmed the fireworks."

Just the thought of those elitist liars getting their comeuppance makes me giddy.

While it's possible this happened and I'd like for some of it be true, I'm not bitting just yet. They deserve the dressing down for sure, but I'm just not sure it happened this way.

I don't care what he says to them, but he doesn't need to be regulating shite. If people hate the MSM they should stop watching and listening to it. The FCC should disappear, because if it isn't abundantly clear that a government entity shouldn't be regulating an industry that we rely on to tell us information about the government, then the suggestion that Trump will be using it against cnn should make that point.

frick CNN, frick the fcc, and frick any president that thinks its his job to make people tell the truth.

Now, I'm in Trump's corner here, but what, specifically, does dressing them down accomplish? Trump let's off steam. The networks dig in their heels!

What I want to know is, what, specifically, is in FCC regulations that he can hold over their heads and threaten them with in order to get them back to objective reporting instead of cheerleading?

they are digging their heels in already - kissing their arse would not change that

bringing them in to a scolding in the principles office was a great approach, I think

basically, "look, I know you are opposed to me and my ideas, but your lying and slanted coverage is beyond ridiculous & understand that there are other forms of communication than your networks"

confront the enemy, quit playing nice & kissing up in the hopes that they will exorcise impartiality and fairness

I really love his approach here

On this one line item event--I can easily see it. Its Intimidation 101 and they want access to him for the long haul. It was held informally, the way real stuff gets done. Art of the Deal. Be nice and I'll give you access. There's lots of news outlets I can use.

Then don't watch CNN lol. I personally have been reading BBC, al jazzera, npr and of course the PT this entire election Period. All are fair and unbiased

What does that have to do with the administration's take on fairness of coverage and the access it gives to the said networks.

Whether you like Trump or not, any honest person should be able to identify the debacle of coverage with respect to bias that went on during the election. Trump is demanding fairness as he should.
