Why not try to argue from the other side to see if you can gain perspective?

or

Look at it from the perspective of legal immigrants.

It's not about racism or damning little kids.

Well seeing that violence is a physical act, then you are merely reading reactions...

Yes, we should put a 24 hour shelter-in-place order nationwide so the National Guard can go house to house and round up the wetbacks, ragheads and Beni-oui-ouis.

Every. Single. Illegal. Immigrant.

(eta: I'm not being serious in this post. Reading some other responses, it could be construed that this was a serious post(it's not))

Did you even read the post? Are you serious? You're going to say this to a kid who was forced to come here and has nowhere to go back to with no resources?

Screw you.

Should a 7 year old who steals candy be punished? Yes or no? It's not like the 7 year old knows the difference between right and wrong.

Either we have laws, or we don't. We don't selectively apply them based on "age" or "understanding"

Breaking the law has consequences. That's too damn bad. Maybe their parents should have thought twice before making their kids an accessory to their crimes.

Let's face it, you want amnesty and open borders because it benefits your bottom line. Hey, if you want to sell out American Citizens for your own personal gain, that's fine. But don't try to act like others will be OK with it when the chickens come home to roost.

I don't give a shite what is conservative anyway. The definition has lost meaning. In 2013 we had jackass Marco Rubio and jackass Paul Ryan running radio ads nonstop about how amnesty and open borders is the "conservative" direction. Who cares anymore? I am a nationalist anyway, not a conservative. Nationalism is about strong borders and law & order.

You're going to play this card, and with the next breath let this kid anchor between 5 and more than dozen others who get to come here?

If the kid has NOTHING? Maybe I consider it - orphanage/foster/adoption here. If the kid has a single relative that can be found in the old country, he goes back.

The FIRST motherfricker who says, "Hey, he's our *whatever*" he goes back to them, they don't get to come here.

I'm all for deporting criminals. I'm all for border security. Build the wall a hundred feet high.

I'll be damned if I'm going to look a kid in the eye who is 18 years old, graduated from an American high school, speaks perfect English, was brought here when he was 2 years old by parents trying to escape the drug wars in Guatemala, is begging to stay, wants to work, pay taxes, pay application fees, pay fines, and will do whatever he can to stay in the only country he knows - and tell him to get the hell out of America because he "didn't come here the right way."

No freaking way. That isn't America. Not at all.

This board has collapsed into pure insanity.

2. As inhumane as that sounds to some, consider this: We have poor citizens that we struggle to care for. We are a broke nation. $20 TRILLION in debt. Should a debtor nation borrow money from China to pay for Mexico's poor?

This is a great point. My church is always spending all this money to send people in our congregation overseas on missions to foreign countries while we ignore the poor and struggling in our own city.

I did a year long mission in Southern California. There are plenty of people in our own vicinity we should be taking care of first.

Yeah, because trying to make humane allowances for people who are already here and were brought here years ago against their will is facilitating invasion.

There are some ideas that are both stupid and immoral. You're espousing one of them.

OK then. Change the law.

Or list me the other laws that we can just shite can because of feelings.

Seriously. I get the plight. I feel for them. I can't pardon them though. Their parents knew the risk.

Again, how do you look a legal immigrant in the eye and say deal with it? We are pardoning illegals because we feel bad.

Actually - you don't have to do this. You make damned sure no federal, state or local governmental agency is harboring, sheltering or feeding (other than short-term while transporting them back to where they belong) them. THEN, you find the employers - the American citizens and companies who knowingly or negligently employ these folks. Perp walk a few of THOSE people in front of the cameras, and then most of those here illegally will self-deport. The dyed in the wool criminals and those who continue to game the system will be a much smaller pool and far easier to manage.

Just my $0.02.

Who are "you people?"

White people?
Americans?
Tax payers?
Unskilled labors who are out of work due to illegal immigration?
Legal immigrants?
Families who suffered a loss due to an illegal alien?
Teachers trying to teach kids who don't speak English?
Doctors treating 3rd world diseases in American hospitals?
Law abiding citizens?
Minorities competing for jobs?

Who are "you people"?

Why should we "take care" of any of them. If they can prove they have a job and are taking care of themselves, why do you think that every one of these kids have to be "taken care of"? They should have to fend for themselves and pay taxes like everyone else. I'm not advocating you put them all on the public dole.

When did I say that? When has ANYONE said that?

We're dealing with human lives here. At least be accurate on what the situation is.

Let me guess you supported Rubio or Kasich or Jeb in the primary. They were all about open borders and amnesty. "This isn't who we are" etc.

Just admit that your support for amnesty and open borders is all about your pocket book. Admit it. Because that is the only reason anyone who considers themselves "conservative" would support it.

America = Law & Order. So yes, that's America. They knew damn well they were here illegally their whole lives. They knew the risks. Again, their parents should have thought about this before making them accessories to their crime.
