I have heard that there was nothing illegal about Flynn talking to the Russian contact. The issue was lying or misleading Pence, for which Flynn had profusely apologized.
What trump knew and when he knew, is unknown. I suspect potus will give Pence the call regarding future of Flynn.

By the way, it was illegal for the federal agency to wire tap Flynn, the private citizen.

The Logan Act is an outdated law that should be repealed and I say that as a certified member of Never Trump.
Flynn "resigning" was the correct decision though. You can't lie to your boss about something like this and then expect to remain in your position.

I think he knew very early on that Flynn talked to the Russians, and what was discussed, likely as early as the day it happened. Whether he ordered it, I'm not so sure. I'm also not sure if he knew of Flynn's conversation with Pence before Pence gave an interview in Flynn's defense. If he did, he's a bigger scumbag than I initially believed.
