Means less toys for me but I'd rather invest in my kids than buy useless toys for myself.

Two children.

K through 12, undergraduate and graduate (for one).

It was worth the investment.

Let’s go!

The more sane people who put their money where their mouth is and put their kids where the government isn’t, the better off we will be.

Still planning on public for now since I'm in a really nice school district, but I'm monitoring the situation and keeping my options open.

Good.

Public education shouldn’t exist.

I'm currently fostering a 4 year old boy and his 2 year old sister. Next year the boy starts school but because he is in the state system I can't go the private school route. Assuming we adopt next year I'll be switching them over but that has to do more with a quality education than any sort of indoctrination from the schools in our area, the sticks of Missouri.

Some "Christian" schools are also woke, but even a woke Christian school is better than a "good" public school.

"But I live in a good area, our public schools are really good here!" - so many people convince themselves of this. It's unfortunate.

been doing it for years even though we live in a good school district, its just worth it for them to learn christian values.

other thing that is a bonus in a lot of ways....they arent surrounded by kids who just want to graduate college, they are surrounded by kids that want to be doctors, lawyers, judges, engineers........kids that have dreams of working for tesla and spacex.....kids that discuss the stock market in elementary school.

surrounded by kids who are grounded in christian beleives.

I have friends that have kids in the great public schools around here....and i wouldnt want my kids hanging with theirs on a daily basis, i will say that.

Good choice.

THREE Supreme Court Justices recently said that the Constitution does not protect a public school football coach from praying to himself "in view of students".

quote:

At issue was whether a public school employee praying alone but in view of students was engaging in unprotected "government speech,"

Fortunately, saner heads prevailed. For now.

This is a great side effect. My kids have higher expectations for their own personal goals than I believe they would have if they were in public schools.

It’s not in the top three reasons we sent them where we did. But it’s a great result.

Oh we made certain that the one we chose is a legitimate Christian school and not a nominal one. In fact, they only work with Christian families as they require a whole slew of application requirements including an interview process to ensure that families are in fact, practicing Christians who are regular members of their respective churches and also serve.

Be very, VERY, selective of which private Christian school. They are not all equal in terms of education and morality.

Some are nominally better than public schools.

Well done, my brutha. I'm extremely happy for you and your family.

Best gift to give yourself, family and your kids. You know you're doing The Lord's work in helping teach them what's really important in this world while learning His Word and preserving their eternal soul.

Our Heavenly Father is pleased (as His angels, singing in celebration).

If it weren't for the quality of our current schools here where I live, I would be doing the same for mine. The ISD here doesn't put up with woke bullshite.

I hear ya...(even in "nice school districts")

However, the window of opportunity (that shuts down Pagan-Woke public school influence) is closing fast. The earlier you resist their indoctrination, the least likely it will become hard-wired.

It is the exception child / adult who can withstand the intense K-12 pagan-woke indoctrination/propaganda -- especially these days.

(Fwiw, I sent my kids to a private Christian School from K-3. Even though that was the 90s (and well before these days' aggressive Pagan-Woke indoctrination), that early-on Christian school education perspective helped establish an important foundation.)
