Croatian President Grabar-Kitarovic Meets with US Marco Rubio

Croatian President Kolinda Grabar-Kitarovic, who has been in the United States for the last five days, met with Republican Senator Marco Rubio with whom she discussed ways to strengthen relations between the United States and Croatia within NATO. Interestingly, the news was announced by Senator Rubio on his Twitter profile, and not by Office of the President, reports Vecernji List on January 5, 2017.
On his Twitter account, Senator Rubio posted a photograph with President Grabar-Kitarovic, with whom he met on Wednesday evening. Rubio said that he and the President discussed ways to strengthen relations between the United States and “the close NATO ally”.

The President of Croatia, on the verge of economic collapse due to EU shortcomings and a key NATO ally in the region, who does she meet with first? The President? No The President Elect? No The Secretary of State? No. She met with Marco Rubio who she knows is the real power broker in Washington and can get results.
