Sen. Bernie Sanders will roll out a plan to guarantee every American a job, according to a new report. The Washington Post's Jeff Stein reported Monday that Sanders's plan will guarantee every person a job with $15 an hour in pay. The jobs would be generated by public investments in projects ranging from the construction of new infrastructure to education.
According to The Post, Sanders' plan would create 12 districts within the US that would approve jobs plans from municipalities, states, and American Indian tribal governments and then pass those plans along to the Labor Department for final approval.
The plan would also utilize job training centers to train and connect workers with jobs on the new projects.

For every hour each worker earns that $15, $200 will be spent in administrative waste.

I really don't understand how so many people believe this guy and think he's got the right ideas. I don't hate the guy as a person. Not at all. I just think that if we implement most of his crazy ideas, we are screwed as a nation.

Every American that wants a job right now has one. Unemployment may be 4% but the truth is, we have more jobs than workers right now. On my way to work each day I pass 10 "now hiring" signs.
I wonder what Bernie thinks about the millions faking their way on disability and food stamps that don't want a job.

How many people make less than 15/hour?
That sounds like a lot of paperwork.

FYI, this is for tech jobs too. Not just the kind you see for help wanted signs. I'm gainfully employed (even just took a new job with way more pay as an IT Manager and full retirement benefits) and I'm getting absolutely bombarded with jobs from recruiters. When I was laid off over a year ago, the market was shite and it took 3-4 months to find a job. Now I'm pretty sure I could toss my notice and have a job waiting for me.

Euthanasia has a good purpose in some instances.

Each district will choose 2 tributes each year to participate in you know.

Sounds like a crazy idea considering his supporters are college kids who want a lot more then 15 an hour . Plus a lot of democrats don’t want to work because the government pays them to do nothing .

I’m guessing this doesn’t even go into his plan for a low cost food wafer made through the recycling of nutrients.

What in th actual frick. Bernie needs to go away already

I'd posit most macro-economists would say that move would benefit the economy.
Since it is so counter-intuitive it has zero chance of ever being enacted.
BTW, I would not call it dystopian. Much more utopian. Sort of like the CCC and WPA on steroids.

No just Bernie trying to implement some of the ideas he picked up visiting the Soviet Union.
This was a Soviet workers paradise built in the 1930s, as with all experiments in socialism it failed.

"An entire district of over 100,000 people, all of whom were working in or around a vast automobile plant built by an American company with American technology, housed — at least at first — in a bold experiment in collective living. Workers flocked to work there, not solely from the Soviet Union, and labour leaders visited to find out what this “workers' paradise” was actually like. They wanted to discover how a district built for Ford factory workers in the USSR differed from one in the US or UK, like Becontree or Dearborn. Though altered and relatively depopulated, most of the Socialist City, or “Sotsgorod”, still stands today, a three-dimensional showcase of what a Soviet socialist company town was meant to be like.

It was the big plan on house of cards and they couldn't even make it work in the land of make believe
