So you'd be against hordes of generally lower IQ immigrants rushing across our border, then?

Because this happens.

Idiot.

The average IQ difference between America and Mexico is in the double digits. It's the same for many other central American countries.

Try and keep up.

Americas standard of living has jumped leaps and bounds despite more and more wealth concentration.

That's right, because we keep throwing the little dogs a bone now and then.

I happen to believe we're pretty close to the middle ground - as long as we don't drift too far towards socialism, or too far towards pure capitalism. This country seems to have found a pretty good balance.

Now this is a melt.

Go read some history. The country has had many bouts of division. You are only aware of it now because social media is so prevalent and recency bias. The average American doesn’t give two shits about most, if not all, the items you posted.

We’re good until the baby’s boomers die off then we go over the cliff.

Because we can, unlike socialistic countries where they ran out of money to give away.

I do too, but you clearly stated one was better than the other.

I have, socialism has always ended one way.

Go read some polls about how 19-29 year olds feel about socialism and see if you're smart enough to spot the trend.

This is what I believe as well. Once the baby boomers are gone it will be a one party dictatorship here in the U.S. A mix of socialism and communism will happen.

That's why I say I have thought about leaving when my parents pass away. They are baby boomers and when they pass away that is probably when sh*t will start hitting the fan.

Makes it all the easier for it to happen doesn't it?

Our poor are overweight. There isn't a food problem in America, there is just a greed problem.

of course they did - and not a single one of them ever relied on the GOVERNMENT for their sustenance - they either produced or died or were taken care of by their own relatives.

And that stream of immigrants gave us the culture we have today - dare I say "Western Civilization?"

What we did NOT have was open arms for masses of people dedicated to reproducing their OWN culture here and having US pay for them to do it.

I agree with your post. Growing up in the 70’s and 80’s which were great times to be an American, the difference now is shocking. We’ve lost our way as a nation where the progressives have become increasingly radicalized. They are winning because us regular folks never fight back. We let them beat us every time.

Yesterday was President atrump’s worst day in office. It really saddened me to see him be defeated by Nancy Pelosi like that. She will push him around and humiliate him at every opportunity. She maybe have effectively killed the MSGA agenda.

Our best hope is that Trump gets to replace RBG very soon with a conservative woman. The Court is our only hope to save us from going down the drain of socialism.

I’m not very optimistic about this situation.

Yep, some of them.

But then a lot of Irishmen died digging that New Basin Canal as well.
