You aren't seeing the big deal because you are a Trump supporter. If he was colluding with a foreign power to give him any sort of advantage in the election that would get him impeached

Putin and Russia are sworn enemies of the US, and Russia aids and abets Syria, Iran and state sponsors of terror.
If Trump has been determined to have colluded with this regime, then impeachment proceedings need to begin immediately. Real Americans despise Putin, and real Americans want their country back

I think if you could paint a scenario where Russia somehow now has influence over Trump that would be a break point for me.

Edit: To the OP. If the worst theories about what went on between the Trump campaign and Russians are true then you would definitely care.

I would lose a lot of faith in the US in that scenario
Ryan I would honestly be happy with. Just the process. At the start of this I would have voted for Ryan before Trump and wouldn't even be close.

I honestly can not believe someone is this dense. Under this hypothetical, you can not grasp why a geopolitical foe, who hands a presidential candidate information to aide his campaign, and instead of alerting authorities - publicly outing and denouncing this criminal act to influence our election and undercut our democratic process - he decides instead to collude, use and lie about it to win an election?
And you are confused why this is something to care about?
So you are saying you are ok with presidential candidates, colluding with geopolitical foes, collaborating when they commit criminal acts and espionage to further their interests, and lying to the American people about it?

Most people that begin with "convince me why blah blah" will never be convinced otherwise. You are one of them. Regardless of political stance, if the sitting president colluded with a foreign power to give himself an advantage in the election, then he will be impeached. You should care about the president being impeached.

I tend to agree, but I think Orin hatch might be a more likely president. Ryan is pretty far enmeshed with trump at this point. Ryan was the defacto party leader, and he seems ok with trump.
Although if trump is impeached, I could see a scenario where pence resigns, new VP is selected, and then trump resigns. I have to say the chances of this happening are VERY LOW. Close to zero.

I don't like the sounds of it, but not sure I care. If you can paint a picture of him needing to report things to the FBI or him being influenced by Russia in the future those are good turning arguments.
