Should corporations have the right to vote?

I'm sure we can work something out.

Should be property taxes or income over a certain amount. The welfare state has incentivized people to vote for their own govt handouts for far too long.

I had an Econ professor in college who proposed one vote per person and then one additional vote for every $70k of income.

Trump would have only gotten one vote a year for the last 18 years in that scenario . Sounds like a good system - might incentive people to not try to lower their tax burden as much.

I either continue on as is and get a vote, as is my constitutional right.

OR

If I don't, I'm not paying a single cent to the federal government or the state.

People paying taxes without the opportunity to affect who represents them is one of the major reasons this country went to war for its independence.

Absolutely support, ownership evidenced by title, which means you own your property outright. All you frickers financing a doublewide cant vote.

What about people who didn't do shite and just inherited property? Plenty of trust fund SJW's that would fall into that category

I really don't see why this is so laughable, your vote should be equal to your share of taxes paid. I have a vacation condo and bc it's a 3 bedroom I get 3 votes vs guys with 1 bedrooms getting 1. I pay more in maintenance fees thus I get more say in what the building does.I don't see what's wrong with that other than the democrats pay no taxes and own no property for prob 75% or more of their base

Government employees also shouldn't be allowed to vote in elections for their branch of government.

Sometimes you get lucky. Far more people earn their way than inherit it, though. Our classes (except the uber-rich) are pretty damn fluid, contrary to what everyone wants you to think about 'muh systemic poverty'.

The flip of this is also true. Which is why you should only get to vote if your tax burden exceeds your tax welfare. You shouldn't be able to affect who represents others who do pay in when you don't.

It would be easy to satisfy.

Just sell micro interest in junk land. $50 a pop.

Boom! You now own property.

The intent of only land-owners getting a vote is that the people who own land are invested in the success of the country and will be more likely to stay informed and exercise their right to vote. Having a stake in your country means you're more likely to care about substance of policy rather than inconsequential matters like how they look or if they have male or female plumbing.
