CBS didn't frick her over. It seems like we agree

I agree I likely wouldn't go as far as saying CBS fricked her over per say, but I 100% disagree with what they did and think its pretty ridiculous actually. If it was within their contractual rights to do so, then so be it. But that fact does that mean they should be immune from criticism for making a stupid decision.

They didn't "replace" her song. They played the song but cut out her portion of the song.

Maybe they played the song where you live but here in California they made an announcement at the beginning that the planned video which featured Rihanna singing in it was not going to be played and instead they were going to have an important discussion about domestic violence against women by men.

No, it was a stupid move by her. It would be stupid of you to trash your employer on social media, and you aren't world famous with millions of followers.

She isn't employed by CBS. She is an independent contractor.

They had an agreement, she feels they screwed her over, and she let people know she wasn't happy about it.

CBS simply acted in a cowardly manner in this matter. They have been intimidated by the feeding frenzy which has been created by the Ray Rice situation.

I don't blame her for being upset.

They replaced her stupid fricking song one night because they gave an important topic some coverage instead?

How so?

CBS was planning on using the song during the remaining Thursday Night NFL Football games and during a bunch of Sunday NFL Football games until Rihanna made her classless tweet.

Genro, do you think it was a good move for CBS to edit out her part of the song because she was once a victim of domestic violence?

Okay, I did my best to find the intro and could only find some pop news clippings across the interwebs. What I've seen is that they cut the entire segment featuring the song...it was a skit. They replaced the skit with some lecture about domestic abuse...Why are people behaving as if they played the song but put it on mute when she would have been singing...? Totally different scenario.

It sounds like you would let Rihanna piss on you.

CBS didn't piss on Rihanna.

Rihanna pissed on CBS and CBS had the balls to dump her because of it.

You're just jealous of me because all of the women I have fricked were better looking than any of the women you have fricked.

Rihanna could have all the money in the world and she would still have no class.

Based on his posting history, I suspect that if Rihanna weren't quite so tan the OP would have taken literally the exact opposite position.

In fact, I'm sure of it.

I cannot believe some of you mouthbreathers are advocating and defending using SOCIAL MEDIA as an outlet to vent against people who pay you money. This country is fricking done.

I'm not taking a side one way or the other here, but this is stupid. She isn't insulting her employer on social media, she is insulting an unaffiliated company using her artistic talents as a means to entertain others. The fact that they are paying a fee for that doesn't make her comparable to an employee insulting and employer. This isn't like a McDonald's employee ripping McDonald's on Facebook.
