Get ready for bump stocks to be the headline across the news outlets. It will only take a day for Democrats to call for them to be outlawed.
So I have a question to the board, what can the government and law enforcement do to prevent mass shootings like this in the future? Better mental health care? That opens up its own carton of worms, in who pays for it, how do you get people covered without insurance, if they don't have health insurance without mental health coverage, how can individuals iike this can be identified? Should we increase security at events like this? I rather not live in a police state, but if that's the price we pay... Should more guns be allowed? A good guy with a gun would've done nothing in this kind of attack if anything they would've gotten in the way and put their own life in danger. So what is the solution? Or do you think this is something we're gonna have to live with?

rifle doesn't overheat with 20 round
Maybe if it were like a 6x50 or something stupid crazy you could get that number down to a couple hundred rounds.
A 7x300 can burn out around 1000 even without sustained fire.

But man oh man don't grab that barrel after 20 rounds
Hot as a mofo and overheating are very very different

I had to google bump stocks and apparently they already are the headlines

quote:That would be the difference then. How many rounds would a cheaper rifle go before starting to misfire or have difficulty? The 20 rounds at a high rate is just a number that would be a nice limit. Honestly I get numbers all over the place on the Poli Board, including by the phonies joining the bandwagon on your post.
That doesn't happen. A standard mil spec $750 AR-15 can go like 500-600 rounds of back to back full auto without a stoppage.

What is a high rate in your expert opinion?

Because I want to be limited in my shots if I have to defend me and my family from intruders. Moron

Bump fire stocks are a novelty. Sure you fire faster. You also waste a lot of ammo. I think they greatly hinder accuracy. I can’t think of many practical applications.

yep already heard about it from a coworker

I won’t bitch at them making these illegal. I own an AR (which I can’t wait to be taking in a rickety boat in a rocky river this weekend) and I see this as best use for a normal person as a novelty. For a maniac with a ton of money it’s destructive.

quote:you can't buy a barrel profile that would burn up at 20 rounds. Even the super skinny fluted ones can go a couple hundred of rounds non stop. Government profile like 600. Your handgurds might be on fire but it would still be firing
If you have a bump stock or slide trigger that burns out the gun after 20 rounds the add-ons aren't a big deal

Cool bro, you heard people say a random talking point in many different context and came here to repeat it. Not near the same thing. These devices are ways to subvert the law, making a weapon something that it shouldn't be. There is no need for an average joe cocksucker to have this type of equipment. These just go to wannabe frickers trying to pretend they are something they aren't. There is zero use in a civilized society for this device, and it's being used to kill our own people. Now please tell me if it's costing lives, and has no value or use, why do we need it?
