Oh, it's already happening under the guise of "states rights"
I mean the Constitution is pretty clear at what level of government immigration law is to be found, but we've already seen that doesn't mean jack shite if you find the right politically active judge.

This is going to get their attention. Most of these big metros live off of BJA and BJS grants. They pay for a ton of their equipment and toys.

My prediction is that whatever action Trump takes on this issue will be blocked by a TRO in the 9th Circuit jurisdiction, regardless of what the law says -- the judge will make it up as he goes along to get the result that he wants.
Trump is at war, whether he knows it or not.

All they are asking is to respect the detainer requests once jailed. I do not know of another department that would willfully violate a detainer request, other than these specific local police departments. Yet they will accept detainers from other law enforcement, that to me is a huge issue.

Good Liberal city leaders will have to learn just like their liberals inhabitants that you can not pick and choose which laws you follow. and breaking the law has consequences.
