A wide open border allowing in invaders from over 100 countries increasing the number of already existing factions to eventually wind up at each others' throats.

While dregs have taken over the streets making quality of life and tranquility for the rest impossible.

A political referral for indictment of a former President solely to prevent him from running again, while the son of the present "President" who has committed verifiable crimes is still skating.

They don't know what to do next to inch us closer to the West's Second Weimar.

Apparently not knowing, or not caring that once it starts, they won't be able to turn it off as easy as it was to arrive at this sham "referral."

what is the lie? Careful. Anything you allege is a lie will have to be proven beyond a reasonable doubt to be a lie in a court of law. You’ve been saved use standing and laches to avoid evidence being presented. So….which “lie” are you alleging?

TWO of the hack J6 panel---- Kinzinger & Cheney, are gone. So pure outright democrats admitted they collude with the DOJ; and have one purpose make sure someone doesn't run for President because the FBI provocateurs set J6 up.

On the very day the FBI/DHS/CIA is shown to have meddled with/controlled online speech like the CCP, in the 2020 & 2022 election outcomes.

It is like watching insanity.

Imagine the bubble you'd have to be living in to be a liberal/Democrat and type that post out.

Oh wow. Their partisan show trial where no form of defense was allowed for produced 'facts' that warrant charges. I'm shocked.

Politically, you're right. I'm there, too. But Joe's involvement is a different story.

Do you HONESTLY think this sham of a committee proved this?

Jesus. Do any of you Trump fanboys even read?

The committee (not me) has charged him with aiding an insurrection. We all know that's crap, but they have done it. IMO, aiding an insurrection is treasonous. I'm not a lawyer so my opinion doesn't count.

I said from the outset that this road they are going down is a very dangerous one. While I hate Trump, I think this is setting up for some potentially negative reactions. Like civil war caliber reactions.

The committee has not, and does have the power to, charge anyone with anything whatsoever.

The committee has no power to charge him with anything. You seem to lack a basic grasp of civics and legal definitions.

Garland will go forward imo. KJP said they’re staying away from it, which means Garland will infact bring charges.

He had no show jobs in Ukraine and China, got those jobs because of his dad, and daddy (the "big guy" in texts and confirmed by Hunter's business partner) got 10%. That is pay for play 101. Not to mention, if Don, Jr. or Eric had been caught smoking crack with Russian hookers, it would have been considered a national security issue. All you idiots talked about for years was kompromat.

It was indeed theatrical.
quote:

In its ongoing attempt to investigate and gather information about private U.S. citizens, the Congressional 1/6 Committee is claiming virtually absolute powers that not even the FBI or other law enforcement agencies enjoy. Indeed, lawyers for the committee have been explicitly arguing that nothing proscribes or limits their authority to obtain data regarding whichever citizens they target and, even more radically, that the checks imposed on the FBI (such as the requirement to obtain judicial authorization for secret subpoenas) do not apply to the committee.

As we have previously reported and as civil liberties groups have warned, there are serious constitutional doubts about the existence of the committee itself. Under the Constitution and McCarthy-era Supreme Court cases interpreting it, the power to investigate crimes lies with the executive branch, supervised by the judiciary, and not with Congress. Congress does have the power to conduct investigations, but that power is limited to two narrow categories: 1) when doing so is designed to assist in its law-making duties (e.g., directing executives of oil companies to testify when considering new environmental laws) and 2) in order to exert oversight over the executive branch.

What Congress is barred from doing, as two McCarthy-era Supreme Court cases ruled, is exactly what the 1/6 committee is now doing: conducting a separate, parallel criminal investigation in order to uncover political crimes committed by private citizens. Such powers are dangerous precisely because Congress’s investigative powers are not subject to the same safeguards as the FBI and other law enforcement agencies. And just as was true of the 1950s House Un-American Activities Committee (HUAC) that prompted those Supreme Court rulings, the 1/6 committee is not confining its invasive investigative activities to executive branch officials or even citizens who engaged in violence or other illegality on January 6, but instead is investigating anyone and everyone who exercised their Constitutional rights to express views about and organize protests over their belief that the 2020 presidential election contained fraud. Indeed, the committee’s initial targets appear to be taken from the list of those who applied for protest permits in Washington: a perfectly legal, indeed constitutionally protected, act.

This abuse of power is not merely abstract. The Congressional 1/6 Committee has been secretly obtaining private information about American citizens en masse: telephone records, email logs, internet and browsing history, and banking transactions. And it has done so without any limitations or safeguards: no judicial oversight, no need for warrants, no legal limitations of any kind.

Not a very good take. DOJ probably consulted with the Committee on charges. They will prosecute the case and he will be convicted by a DC jury. That’s a slam dunk.

Doubtful. Beyond a reasonable doubt is a tough standard. Even in dc. Especially once he is allowed to provide a defense. Members of this committee stated their number one goal was to “get trump”.
