If legislation like The Great Society Act hadn't been forced on the country to buy Democrat votes, quality of life among blacks would be very close, if not there, to the white population. LBJ @ Co took away the moral incentives of minority voters of ALL races.
Just check the percentage of "two parent" black households in the 60s to what they are NOW! The same goes for employment levels. This crap isn't complicated.

bullshite. Houses in my neighborhood are 50/50 white/black. It's not a poor area.

It would be great if we could get back to the times when more black families had pride and dignity as shown in these photos -

As Larry Elder frequently points out, black equality of income is achieved if couples finish HS, get jobs, get married and then have kids in that order.

and do you know how they'll propose "fixing" that? it will not have anything to do with encouraging black families and communities to empower themselves. it will solely be based around holding white people back. IE.. "don't you worry your precious little heart with 'catching up.' We rigged the race so you don't have to!"

It would be a million years without Government Jobs.
Blacks are 13.2% of the country, but hold 18.2% of all Federal jobs.

It's amazing how the Democrats have managed to rewrite history and blame all racism on the Republicans. Even to this day, the Democrats continue to use people of color for their votes in return for a bribe or, free handout that never really makes a difference in their schools or communities. Then they are forgotten until the next election. Their communities continue to decay in poverty and joblessness, while violent crimes thrive. Blacks need to wake up and realize they are nothing more than votes for Democrats, and will soon be replaced by Hispanic votes. Even electing a black president didn't make a difference. Mr. Hope and Change was nothing but a lie.

I mean, many but not all of those immigrants came over here with capital or access to it because they were the folks getting ran off by communists. Starting off with a little bit or being afford some opportunity goes a long way. Black people after the civil war got deflationary rollback on greenback fiat currency right when a new group of people needed capital infusion to get started on generational wealth. They were left with Jim Crow and sharecropping which was just free labor market sanctioned slavery.
One of the big mistakes after the civil war was not hanging or shooting all of the big whites in the south and giving their property to the small whites and freemen.
