I thought you didn't believe in the devil.

I kid. I kid.

Good for you to stand by your convictions. Personally, I use Michael's when I need to purchase something craft related. Normally it's just poster frames though.

And I have no idea where a HL is.

I cannot believe that isn't the reason this thread is taking off...it is hysterical. I literally stopped reading after that.

Did I say that ALL businesses would have served blacks? Maybe your reading education was lacking?? Go back and read slowly. It helps my 4 year old.

In Baton Rouge, it is right next to the Chick-Fil-A. If Rex ever threatens my life, I know which side of town I'll flee to.

And not one single f*ck was given. You always cherry pick which battles to fight. NSA (which is part of der fuhrer's gov't) was spying on your doggy porn, yet you support the same said gov't. Hobby Lobby supports not having medical coverage forced down their throat, yet you won't grace them with your presence.

Hobby Lobby thanks you for not shopping there

How dare Rex?!

They won't be able to afford their BC now because of him. That is despicable

Wrong on so many levels. But look who's saying it.

And to the OP.....you're a dumbass if you don't shop somewhere you love to shop just because of the insurance policy they offer employees. How in the frick do you plan on picking your next hobby store? Are you goin to ask for all of their company policy materials and make sure you agree with every policy they follow. Are you going to check every employees hours and check their hourly pay and protest if they are only minimum wage.
You should check into the average pay at Hobby Lobby compared to others.
Your just so blindly dumb.

Btw, please boycott Chick filet on their religious beliefs they follow. The line is so fricking long to get food there, we would appreciate fewer customers there also. And maybe your boycott would force them open on Sundays too! TIA

Michael's wages

Michael's could cover contraception at 100% and their employees still lose.

Their average hourly workers make less than the minimum for hourly wages at Hobby Lobby. Their average supervisor makes a couple dollars an hour less than the minimum of a FT employee at HL.

I had never previously held their religious beliefs against their business because I wouldn't want anybody to hold my lack of religious beliefs against mine.

while i have been at a hobby lobby before, I rarely went. Mainly due to them being closed on Sunday.

I for sure will not shop there again in the future.

But in the end, hobby lobby probably wins this battle. Are crafters more likely to be older and conservative? Based off my assessment of that market place, the answer is yes. They probably win converts from Michaels.

I don't get the hate for costumes. They are fun!

REx - if you hvaen't been to a burning man event (don't need to go to black rock there are local ones in 25+ states), go. Everyone is in crazy costumes the entire time. Lots of drugs if that is your thing too.
