And now on a personal note, I am done with Hobby Lobby

I had never previously held their religious beliefs against their business because I wouldn't want anybody to hold my lack of religious beliefs against mine. Now, however, that they have succeeded in turning their religion INTO their business I can no longer support it. I can't support a religion that belittles women. I no longer need anything they sell.
I'm a hobbyist. I've made many trips and spent lots of money at Hobby Lobby over the years, from fabrics for costumes to clay for sculptures to resins for molds to home furnishings to holiday decorations. Several times I've driven to their nice stores on Sundays, forgetting that they close on those days for worship and family time. No problem.
And still no problem. Here I come, Michael's or A.C. Moore, instead.

And during all of that time - until 2012 - Hobby Lobby offered full contraceptive coverage.
It was only until someone told them they had to offer it they withdraw some of it (much in the way my 2 year old might act).

Your business is your business. If you want to spend money at other craft stores instead of theirs, you're more than able to do so.
At least you're putting your money where your mouth is, unlike a lot of other people on this subject.

Ahhhh- the free market at work. Good on you.

Have fun. That's how you embrace the free market. If a business wants to shut out black people, those offended by it will go elsewhere and the business will lose money. Those that have religious views, those who are offended by them will go elsewhere and they will lose money.
It's a very simple system that doesn't require government to enforce it.
If you want to be a dick to potential customers, the market will punish you more than the government ever could.

I'm quite certain they are crushed. Probably will just close the doors. To make up for it, I'll tell my wife to only go there. No more Michaels or Hancocks.

Good! That's called "living your own life."

Hold it---are you denying them their rights??????
If Hobby Lobby is denying women their "right to birth control" are you denying Hobby Lobby their right to your money???
Same logic.

Yeah that worked great in the 50's.
Denying racism is racism, btw.

Someone had sex with you?

I completely support your choice to do so, Rex. I have done the same with other businesses. Will you still be able to get the supplies you need to continue your Maggie-fest?

Unfortunately, this only applies in a truly free market.
A government-sponsored monopoly like a cable company, though? You're generally fricked, which is why Comcast could give a shite whether they're rated as the worst company for consumer relations several years in a row.
