Strip away people's access to health care, and some of them die who would not have otherwise.

this works both ways. what about the people who have to make sub-optimal living or eating decisions due to being raped by higher rates?

if i don't use my insurance once this year, i'm going to have to pay about $6500 (with a moderate deductible)

prior to the ACA, my rates would have me pay about $1000/year (with a $1500 deductible)

do you know what kind of better choices (in terms of food) i could make with that extra $5000? i could literally drive to whole foods (1 hour away) and switch 100% to their all natural/organic offerings and still come out ahead

The why weren't the Democrats working to improve it?
Obama's signature legislation and it was not good, and they just walk away from it?

There's nothing wrong with the ACA. It's the bestest and everyone loves it.

Why does it need to be improved?

You said it's working perfectly...

BamaAtl believes that if the government doesn't provide a good, it is the same as "taking away" that good, as if people are helpless with big brother

In what alternate reality do you live in that they weren't? But hard to get much done in the face of unprecedented Republican obstructionism.

When we were told that 20 million people were uninsured and we needed to give them insurance, it was screw the rest. But now that 37% want to repeal and replace it, it is go with the majority.

Double standard much?

Bravo.

If higher rates force me too live in rough neighbourhood and I get shot and killed by hoodlums, that ACA coverage didn't do squat for me did it.

It actually got me killed.

What about people who have to make sub-optimal decisions about whether to seek treatment for cancer or chronic conditions because they lack insurance and cannot afford it without a subsidy, yet still have a job and are attempting to survive?

They also didn't add the negative that repeal/replace will substantially increase everyone's premiums, decrease coverage, and kill hundreds of thousands of Americans.

Another shining example of why you shouldn't be taken seriously.

So what you're saying is that people don't like "repeal and replace" even though Trump had been saying that for months and he was elected in part because of that?

My response is "don't care".

You think government/insurance won't make "sub-optimal decisions" about treatment for those they "cover"?
