Probably the same thing conservatives did as the economy grew year after year under Obama. Hone in on the problems and ignore the progress.

This. Claim that Trump is reaping the benefit of an environment created by Jugears in chief. And rail on the sorry state of healthcare because it won't be fixed by then and blame it on Trump.

Been here, done this, got the T-Shirt.

We will be regaled with multiple stories about

1)Wealth Gap

2)Those left behind

3)And differences in the success of whites vs anyone else

It will be painted as a economy that is "only good for some people".

During the Reagan administration, news media essentially invented a 'homeless crisis' out of whole cloth.

So, expect something similar.

I think if the GDP grows 3-4% in a year (as Trump promised) then they'll eat their words because a lot of people have cited economists who've said that's unlikely to happen.

LOLOL

No. They won't. Not even close. Remember the letter Pelosi and crew sent to Bush when the UE rate was close to 4% WITH more people in the workforce than Obama ever saw? Yeah, they will lie.

Personally, I'll give credit where credit is due. If Trump enacts policies that have an effect on economic productivity, then I'll give him credit for that. I won't give him credit for a jobs report in February of his inaugural year when he hasn't actually done anything significant to cause job growth.

I'll hold my breath there. Nothing against you, personally. I just know many Proggies and was once one. You don't just change stripes over night.

Can't wait to get my hands on Wal-Mart's $99.95 scud missile. Might even pick up a couple.

My guess is that they go back to strategies of the 80's. During Reagan's years, the big story was homelessness. They did news stories around the clock accusing Reagan of making people homeless. They attecked the War on Drugs as they continue to do to this day. They blamed all terrestrial attacks around the world on him. Remember that the IRA was big back then.

They will step up the environmental attacks. Every time there's a storm or natural disaster, it will be Trumps fault.

They will also start caring about the national debt. It will become a nightly news story.

Run 24 hour stories of every person they can find that is struggling, and how Trump's policies have left them behind.

In 8 years, we never experienced a single quarter of 3% growth. Not one.

Despite QE & 0% interest rates.

Deny the stats like conservatives have done the last 8 years. Make up "real" unemployment and GDP numbers. Question the credibility of every study. On and on.

It also happens to be a fact.

Even if for you, as your buddy Al Gore would put it, it constitutes an Inconvenient Truth.
