2 Years From Now, What Does the Left-wing Media Do if America is Prospering?

I mean, think about it. A majority of the country already thinks that the media is being unfair to Trump. Those people have largely tuned them out already.

Some here won't acknowledge it, but Trump has already demonstrated that his understanding of business & the economy is infinitely superior to that of his predecessor. Hell, companies (and countries) started announcing their desire to invest in America, or increase their existing investment, before Trump was even inaugurated.

So, what does the media do if America is enjoying a much-improved economy 2 years down the road? How will they spin that?

PS - IMO, it won't even take 2 years. MARK MY WORDS. In 2017, we will experience one or more quarters of at least 3% growth in GDP. In 8 years under Obama, that never happened once. Never happened.

Find any possible reason not to credit lower taxes and less regulation.

The canned response will follow this script

"This is all because of Obama policies maturing"

"5 years from now the Trump policies will crush this country"

There will be no more media. Dictator Trump will get rid of them, duh. Haven't you heard this over the past few weeks.

The left will hammer home social issues and never mention the economy if the economy is doing good. Have seen them do it time and time again over 50 years. They are very good at it I might add.

I think if the GDP grows 3-4% in a year (as Trump promised) then they'll eat their words because a lot of people have cited economists who've said that's unlikely to happen.

Personally, I'll give credit where credit is due. If Trump enacts policies that have an effect on economic productivity, then I'll give him credit for that. I won't give him credit for a jobs report in February of his inaugural year when he hasn't actually done anything significant to cause job growth.

I'll let him enact policy before I start giving him credit.

Credit Obama, or double down on the victim Olympics and make it a social rather than economic gripe.

I'm a 20 year stock broker and wealth manager. I think we all need to be prepared that if we hit 3%, 4%, or some how even better GDP growth, the Federal Reserve will do everything possible to pull it back at the behest of their Establishment cronies.

They'll have us in a near hyper-inflation mode before they let Trump succeed.

Expect interest rates to go up 0.25% a quarter for most of Trump's presidency. It's about to start and likely won't stop.

Well that's good for me. If it makes CDs and other investments turn a higher rate of those investments then I'm okay with the rises of the rates.

You are correct. Inflation is going to start soon and be spun up very quickly. this will be a direct result of QE and the acts of the Fed during Obama's tenure.

It'll be bad, but lots more people will be working.

They'll find homeless people, struggling single moms and poor seniors to 'show' that the prosperity isn't reaching everybody.

Notice we didn't see too much coverage of the homeless when Big Ears was in office.
