Cecil Collins would have been the best running back at LSU if he wouldn't have been a dope smokin perv.

No one had his explosiveness maybe even a Heisman. That year it was him and Ricky Williams. Boy what a fricked up duo that was!

I can see that in older felons, that have been in and out of jail and know they can't make it on the outside, and function better in prison, but not a guy that had never done some serious time, who was starting for an NFL team -- to suggest Collins wanted to go to jail is a stretch IMHO.

It is a stretch but it may be true.

If he didn't have multiple offenes prior to the last one that landed him in jail, I wouldn't think that.

I just highly doubt he didn't know what he was doing before he did it. Sadly, though, that might be the case as well.

Dude stop - I was already trying to control myself when he said "I talk real good" regarding his "never" having a problem with women.

The guy's in denial - though it was nice that he recognized Hairman for giving him that chance to begin with.

The reporter was hot. You know all he could think about was getting up in her like a champion.

In fact, he probably went to his cell and spanked it and got caught and had to spend another 30 days in solitary confinement.

Hope they make him climb the fence on his way out of prison -- if you get my drift...

that was so sad.

my favorite Cecil story was during the recruiting process. He was asked why would he go to LSU w/ Faulk, Mealy, (Cleveland?) and others doing so well. Cecil responded, "I'm better than all of them."

Cecil the Diesel was all about the fans. I was at the team hotel in Nashville (the year he broke his leg against Vandy) and he took pics with fans and had a smile on his face from ear to ear.

Too bad he got mixed up with alchohol and cannibus, etc.

I hate seeing someone given that much talent at something that literally millions of us would kill for, then mess it up that bad.

Everyone makes mistakes, especially in their college years, but over and over again. While he was given the one of the greatest opportunities a young person can have.

So sad..

Did anyone read TigerRag this week? It wasn't a color picture, but Dinardo looks old as hell. Sorry to change the subject.

Yes, Cecil Collins could have been the greatest LSU running back ever. What a waste.

Defiantly a hell of a running back. As far as jail goes what do you expect when his high school coach, would bail him out before kick off on Friday night. So he learned it young, give that credit to Danny Smith.

Wow, someone wasn't happy with Coach Smith's job @ Deridder.

He had Cecil at Leesville, did you think Coach Smith was that good? He had 3 plays...Cecil pitch right, Cecil pitch left, and Cecil up the gut. Well, 4 plays, then the bomb to Demond Mallet...
