If you're just gonna clown me, then I'd prefer that you delete my recommendation from your memory right now.

Went there on timeshare a few years ago and stayed at a hotel that had literally no entertainment. I would have had more fun in December at an indoor waterpark resort.

Wish I could. Even if it were legalized, I doubt pilots would ever be able to smoke.

I went snorkeling. I wanted to go charter fishing but the season's harvest was everything I catch out of grand isle anyway...

El Foco to eat. Awesome tacos and cheap. Money Bar is solid for drinks and food.

Rent a jeep and go barhopping on the east side. Best beaches, best bars. Start at Punta Sur at Reggae's and make your way around to Coconuts, etc.

ETA: Sand Dollar Sports has a number of excursions. Owners and staff are awesome folks.

Is that place right by side of road that is where you turn off for the lighthouse? I remember seeing some tiny hole in the wall bar and I wanna say I remember it had a Jamaican theme.

Go to Coconuts and see some boobies. It's a cool outdoor restaurant on a hilltop. They have albums of women who have showed their "coconuts" for a free drink. If you're lucky, you'll see some live ones, I did.

Rent a Jeep, head south and stop at every bar around the island, definitely hit Reggae's (Rasta's?) at the southeast tip of the island. About halfway up the east side you'll see a small peninsula jutting out into the gulf, stop and go swimming and the bartender from across the street will bring you drinks, continue up and over bar hopping. That's one day.

Snorkeling is good in Chankanab lagoon, better if you hire someone and head towards Puerto Morelos national park. Diving is great if you're certified.

A day trip to Playa has decent shopping but it's been Americanized (it used to be a quaint little Mexican town, now it's Cancun South). Coco Bongo at night has a good show but it's loud and runs till late so you'd overnight in Playa. The bars in Cozumel are usually real quiet until a cruise ship comes in.

Enjoy yourselves

Cozumel is the most irritating place I've ever been. You'll see when you get there.

Rent a Jeep and stay away from the touristy spots, drive to the Rasta bar and drink some peanut butter tequila and check out the park next door.

Contact Pablo and set up some dives with him. My wife isn't a certified diver, but he still took us on some great shallow dives. If you tip him well, he can hook you up on the island. He took us to the lobster guy, we picked out 5 lobsters tails for $50, then we went to a Cantina and gave the cook $10 and he fixed them for us while we drank and ate some awesome ceviche.

Coconuts has an awesome view, and the food was good, but the highlight for me is the diving. If I didn't dive, then I wouldn't be that impressed with the island.
