Your response was well thought out and more than reasonable. However, experience with this industry and the historical re-writing of this economic issue started as soon as the problem began. It would be counterintuitive to expect otherwise.

You can give them the benefit of the doubt, but I'll be taking bets. It's too bad because it was a fantastic book with enough material to stand on it's own (as you stated).
