I have some friends traveling to NOLA next week and was wondering the best place to get boiled crawfish for lunch on Friday.

We will be coming from Grand Isle so any place along the way would be appreciated.

Had lunch there yesterday. Boom!

Smokey oyster is on the short list of best po-boy in town.

Their crawfish smelled great.

I may let my friends eat the crawfish and try the smokey oyster. That sounds delicious.

I read about Bevi online; figured I'd check in here for confirmation since I'm not from the area.

Just came from Bevi. Seither's > Bevi for crawfish, easily, in my experience. The crawfish at Bevi were cold. I should have said something but didn't. Others did though so it wasn't just me.

I've only tried Bevi twice this season but the first time the crawfish were under seasoned and the second time they were overcooked to the point of being mushy.

Listen to Lester.

I've only been to Bevi once. Crawfish were hot and well seasoned. Not overcooked. They may have a consistency issue. They weren't the best crawfish I've ever had, but they were certainly good.

Smoky oyster poboy was very good. Oyster BLT was okay. The oysters got a bit mushy so I missed the crispy aspect. They held up on the poboy, though.

Bevi has some good food, but I dont care for their crawfish. You can tell they mix old batches in to their fresh batches.

Bevi is great when they aren't busy. Problem is because of their popularity, they are busy most of the time now. They are trying to operate like a small time shop but having big time business.

I've been to Bevi twice for crawfish (haven't tried the porous yet which I hear are very good). Both times they were hot, very well seasoned, and perfectly cooked. I also enjoy seithers too. Can't go wrong at either one imo
