parking in New Orleans for weekend

Does Harrahs still give free 24 hr parking for 30 mins of play?

Try street parking, free after 6pm i believe. Does anyone know if the meters run on saturdays or sundays?

Meters run on Saturdays. But you are good from 6 pm Saturday until Monday at 8 am

I live in the quarter and park on the street. On weekends it can be a bitch, but I always manage to find a spot. If you go that route just make sure you read the signs carefully, it can be very confusing with all the freight zones, cab stands, passenger zones, etc.
But if you don't feel like fricking with all that just pay to park. If you don't know what you're doing the $30 or so is worth not having to worry about it.

if you have your free players card, yes
when we weekend stay we just pull out then right back in and play for another 30 minutes when our time is up

This. Even if you parked uptown or mid city you would still pay about that much to Uber into the CBD.

yeah, we'll probably just end up paying the $35 to park at hotel. This trip is being split 2 ways anyway.

The parking ticket I got for illegal parking was only $20 and I stayed for 24 hours.
Parking lot was 25 near Harrahs.

This is actually a great idea once UberX gets more drivers in the market.
Park near the edge of Uptown say around Courtyard Brewery and pay Uber 5 bucks to take you to your hotel.

You can also get the poker room to stamp your ticket. Even if you don 't play, I would imagine they wouldn't know if you had played or not if you walk in there for a bit and walk out.

I did this back around Mew Years. Harrahs was charging $50. I parked in a cab stand for a $20 ticket.

There are plenty of places to park for $20-$30 all night. Some parking tickets have been raised to $40 too, so if you want to chance it then by all means. But I warn, this is the very busy time for the quarter, and those parking maids are out in droves.
