It was bound to happen sooner or later.

I thought so too. Lange taking a break last weekend made the move easier to make.

No complaints here. If they don't do it this week, it'd have to wait another 2 weeks at least and maybe 3.

I think this increases the chance to win the remainings series. Lange will be able to match any guy they throw out there and most teams will pitch their ace friday night. Poche is good and can pitch well, I think we would have the advantage in that game too.

He said on his postgane show that part of the reason also is the possibility of using Poche twice in one weekend like they used to do with Bradford and Coleman.

Huh?
He is gonna close game 1 and start game 2?

No I think he would start Game 2 unless they used him for a inning or two on Friday. Then he would start Game 3.

That makes sense... if we bring Poche in for game 1, we can just move Bain up to start game 2.

I don't really see the need. I got it with Bradford and Coleman. We were thin on the mound. That's not the case this year.

I personally think we should go Lange,Bain, Poche. Poche would be a lock against any 3rd starter in the country.

Well our bullpen doesn't really inspire a whole lot of confidence these days.

If Lange can keep our bullpen fresh for some of the later games, it should be a fantastic move. Going into the Saturday and Sunday games with a tired pen is brutal, despite having more talent than nearly every team we face. A Bain/Poche start with a full bullpen should be terrorizing to just about everyone we face.

Have you seen our bullpen? I wouldn't be "terrorized".

We don't have many lefty arms in the pen. Person is reliable, but Devall doesn't really exist on weekends.
