I just got back. I agree with the Half Shell. There is one in the Hard Rock Hotel now but I like the one across the street. Ate there Thursday night. Redfish topped with crabmeat was good. I think the best restaurant in town is BR Prime in the Beau Rivage. Ate there Friday night. It is not cheap, but spending an evening in there is still cheaper than sitting at the gaming tables.

The best restaurants in Biloxi are in the Beau Rivage IMO. BR Prime and Jia. Ruth Chris in the Hard Rock is good.

Mary Mahoney's is like the Drago's of the MS coast. It skates by on name more than anything. Everything is covered is heavy sauces and is bland.

Half Shell is an "oyster bar" with the smallest oysters I've ever eaten It's better than Mahoney's, though

I get dragged to business lunches at these places weekly. The MS coast sucks for restaurants. The chains are better than non chains, unfortunately

BR Prime in the Beau Rivage was really good. Mary Mahoneys is good, a lot of their dishes remind me of items available at Parrains here in Baton Rouge.

I enjoy going to Mary Mahoney's but more for the atmosphere than the food. I have been going there periodically for 30 years. The food and the menu have not changed, but could probably stand to be updated.

half shell is terrible.

you want steak, eat at prime... asian eat at Jai. Other than that make the drive to either Pass Christian and eat at Bacchus on the beach or make the run to Bay Saint Louis at hit up tripanis or the blind tiger for just bar food....

I've only been to the one in Gulfport but I thought it was good. Had royal reds and redfish, couldn't complain with that.

Jia in Beau Rivage was good not great. The portions were pretty disappointing but our whole group was mid-20s aged guys so we had pretty big appetites. If I went back I'd definitely get the whole fried snapper.

There is a Bacchus in Gulfport, too. I'd go there over any of the biloxi places
