I think I still prefer the Continental
It's a concept. Hopefully the production version looks similar. It will likely be based on a front wheel drive Ford chassis, so I doubt the proportions or the driving dynamics will be as good as the Cadillac CTS, BMW 5 series, or Mercedes E.
Lincoln competes with Buick and Acura instead of Mercedes or Cadillac these days. I think the Continental concept signifies Ford's disappointment in Lincoln's position in the market. It's about damn time for them to get it together. I'd really like to see a new rear wheel drive chassis developed for Lincoln. It's about time for them to be a legitimate luxury car brand.

You might want to get your eyes checked about those steering wheels.

No man this car is being 100% built by Lincoln engineers from what I understand. Ford is pushing Lincoln to try and go back to the days of old. This car is supposed to compete with the same classes that you posted. Both look pretty good.

Now they need to improve the exterior

That's unbelievable for a car that big. It's a full sized luxury car, but with that light weight and a balanced rear drive chassis, it probably handles like it's on rails.
I never thought I'd see an American car company make a legitimate Mercedes S500 or Audi A8 competitor.

I would consider it at the moment but my current lease isn't up for a year and I am planning on a Tesla S at the least and a Lambo if things go the way I visualize them.

How is that crazy?

It's considerably lighter than it's direct competitors and even most of it's smaller indirect competitors. That's an impressive accomplishment for Cadillac's first entry into that segment in a couple of decades and indicates that they've prioritized handling responsiveness and driving experience.

An article I read said it is only 8 inches longer than a CTS and just as wide. That is just not a big sedan IMO. I hope it is really cool but I need to see one next to an S Class or an A8 before I can compare them.

The XTS is their biggest sedan.

Well compare that to the CT6 so we can see if it is big or not

It has a 122 inch wheelbase, it's 205 inches long, and is 74 inches wide. That's a big girl. It's an inch longer than an S class and less than an inch narrower. It's about 5 inches longer than a 7 series and 0.9 inches narrower. It's actually wider and longer than the Lexus LS.
The CTS is roughly the size of the Mercedes E class and BMW 5 series. The ATS is the compact sized Cadillac, not the CTS.

Cadillac got a good rating as a brand in that other thread, fwiw.
ETA: I've never owned one, tho.

I haven't either. I would be more leery of that Lincoln in that other thread today. I still don't trust American cars. Trucks are fine, but american cars need to build up some trust. Thanks Obama.

People will bitch and moan because, well, this is the OT and that is what people do. However, Cadillac has made a beautiful car IMO.
