"hippie" accusations

I would imagine those are somewhat tongue in cheek, but, I've been drug and alcohol tested for the majority of my career, and as I'm nearing the end, many of my peers and I are planning a Cheech an Chong level pot retirement party, it's been a long, lucrative, and rewarding career, but one positive test would have fricked it all up, delayed gratification my friend

The entire hippie thing is hilarious.

Here abouts in CO, a shite ton of ppl smoke pot, especially now that its legal.

And you wouldn't believe who wants to try it. 2 of my 4 parents sampled it upon their visit here, and none had tried it previously.

To say that successful people don't smoke is fricking joke. I know many who smoke and really only drink wine when they go out to eat.

It's not worth arguing, although I'm sure 777 knows you're correct.

A lot of people simply refuse to believe that a lot of successful and wealthy people smoke.

I know multiple prominent uptowners that smoke. People most of this board have heard of.

with over 200 LSU alumni at Deloitte, I'm sure none of them read the most popular LSU website.

Because they work at places that test. Plants and the such. I made a shite ton of money as a young man as a stockbroker. Had to pass one test and that was easy. Smoked every day from 17-42 except when I knew I would be tested one time.

Definitely not the case at LSU, and given my experience recruiting in College Station, almost surely not the case with the op.

I'll take the old man, he can take the young. Brokers get 1099s, nothing taken out. The amount of money I sent to the IRS between the ages of 24 and 29 is staggering.

I might not be the best candidate considering I'm not a professional (yet) and recently quit for the same reason as the OP

I work at another Big 4 firm.

The answer is no unless you work on a banking or governmental client.

doesn't work for all of those former USAir pilots in PHX

First of all they are based out of Dallas now as you know, second I would bet federal law has authority over state law...especially when dealing with the FAA so you are probably right. That being said for MOST jobs in AZ, like 99%, you cannot legally get in trouble for failing a weed drug test if you have a script and are not high at work according to the law. Sure the company may frick you but it would be illegal and you could sue for big $.

It doesn't matter to me either way, I am just letting you guys know about the law in AZ.

You also need to consider that it may not have been any of those if you had been able to smoke pot. Some people can handle it and be fine, some can't, but there is no way to know unless the person smokes put. I for one would rather my pilot wasn't a pot head but either way you had a great career and that is all that really matters!
