Furious 7 will break lots and lots of records this weekend.

Jurassic World most likely will fall into that category as well
I think Jurassic World will do very well. I do think that the reviews will have an affect on it though. If it gets bad reviews it could hurt it badly since JP3 left a bad taste in a lot of peoples mouths. I'm just speculating of course..

Oh it will make some money but I don't see it breaking the $900 million mark

It was such a huge event. How often is it big world news that a movie opens. I remember the entirety of USA today was Star Wars
Nothing was derailing that movie. I do think the poor quality impacted the numbers, but even so it made shitloads of money.
I was 9 and I still remember how crazy that shite was. I was fricking hyped to see that movie. It's crazy to think it was so bad that I havent even watched the "3rd" start to finish. At that age even I knew attack and phantom were bad enough that I could miss the third
And I will still pay to see the new one

Nuts. Anyway, if Disney is able to build THAT hype and put out a really good flick. That movie is going to break records

Jurassic World is the sequel fans have been waiting 22 years for. If this gets positive buzz it will break $1 Billion.
With the hype plus Furious 7 being Paul Walker's final movie this will easily be the highest grossing of the series

I hope I'm wrong because I'm a huge Jurassic Park fan, but I think the movie will be average aha the initial reviews will indicate that.

Everything I've seen has given me hope. The plot is another instance of Man vs Nature like the first one, an active park, with some throw backs to the original such as Wu and the original Rex.

I can see those also making $1b. There is NO way this won't be a record year.
I can't wait for Jurassic World. When I was a kid, even after the movie I wanted to go to Jurassic Park, hell yeah I've been waiting for this sequel.
Furious 7 I plan to see next week.
I hope it does well. I like finally seeing a tie in to Tokyo Drift.
I did not know this, and Universal is a major studio.

It was years before I accepted how bad that movie was. I still think The Attack of the Clones was the best of the 3 and not that bad of a movie. It had some great scenes.

I'm going to stick to the OP, but AotC is the worst movie ever made...period
Anyway, I think avengers and Star Wars are the only slam dunks. 2 maybe releases (F&F & JW) and I don't see anything else. I think there is some burn out on summer blockbusters.

Avengers and Star Wars are certainties. They have a chance at breaking $2 billion.
Jurassic World (likely), Furious 7 (likely), Mocking Jay (likely), Spectre (maybe), Minions (maybe) and Mission Impossible (probably not) all have shots at a billion, in that order imo.
Anxious to see what Ant-man can do following Guardians of the Galaxy's surprising box office, as well as playing not long after Avengers comes out.
And we have Terminator with Arnold back, although its more of a $500 million film.
It's a great year for movies.
Hell another Vacation is coming out, although i don't have high hopes for it.

I agree with those saying Spectre will make more money than Skyfall. Skyfall completely rejuvenated the franchise. I am a nut for James bond (own all novels, bluray's and DVD's) and I was a little wary of even seeing Skyfall in theatres. Of course I did and I left with such a feeling of joy. It brought back the old feel of the James Bond's I loved.
Then you bring Spectre back, the greatest evil organization in all of movie history for the next movie. HOMERUN.
