I'm pretty indifferent towards it but I think it's annoying as hell how the local media doesn't cover anything but that drill. Not sure if there's a reason for that or not but I get so disappointed when I'm hoping for linebacker, DL, QB, etc. drills in the practice highlights and I get a 10 minute video of the big cat and nothing else

the media films what they are allowed to film.

how many games have you played of texas hold em with your two cards face up?

miles gives the run around to the media and closes portions of his practices to protect scheme, methodolgy, and his coaches.

i know, we live in a world where we can have it all, and immediately.

thats what makes college football the best in sports. its the anticipation of limited games and (more often than not), games that truly count toward post season progression

Very true, it would be awful if all the other teams in the SEC found out about the ole off tackle run followed by off tackle run followed by incomplete mid range non play action pass combo that LSU is patiently waiting to unsheath in the first series of this upcoming season

so shortsighted. player coach interactions, teaching techniques, weakness, deficincies, tendancies among others. perhaps most importantly, cameras in the faces of college aged athletes is a huge distraction with little to gain and much to lose....

for the record, our problem has been moreso qb depth. sec qbs perform best after they have been acclimated to college life, studied and fully comprehend the playbook, and dosed with appropraite progressive playing time.

not saying it isnt a problem, but when we have a seasoned three to five year qb, our offense excells. until we have a passing attack without drive ending or turnover ridden possessions, we have no choice to ground and pound and teams like undefeated ole miss or mightly alabama still struggled with your very rudimentary summation of an offense

it shows the utter meaninglessness of our lives that you start such a thread and I post in such a thread as well as everyone else who posted in this thread or even opened it up to read it.

I would like them ok if they had an announcer & color commenentator on the vids telling me who's b-cattin who? I'd really like to know who the beasts are. I'd also like to see our punters participate in the b-cat.

It's a blocking drill. It does nothing for me.

Give me goal line or Oklahoma any day over big cat. I liked that defensive drill Chavis ran. That shite was intense.

I chuckled. It was late. I had a 15 hour day.

It's unfortunate for all who have read or responded. My grandfather was a very successful coach. He did not prefer these type drills. He felt like there are some who want to tackle and some who just aren't good at it. He felt like these type drills could only do harm, in that they put his good tacklers in a position to get injured.

Not at all. I don't mind it, but seeing people get worked up over it-not gonna lie, a little annoying.

I think you're on to something here. There's probably a reason those aren't done or aren't shown. If we had a QB that could throw it 70 yards from his knees that would definitely be shown.

Seriously? I think that every SEC coach knows what play we are going to run better than half the time without any game tape, much less Spring practice tape.
