This would fit in the .62% of the statistic.

Texting or emailing when sick is not an option for us. You HAVE to call the floor AND the staffing office. Course...me calling in puts them in a bind cause they have to scramble around to find someone to replace me for that shift so I can see why a simple text or email will not suffice at my work.

I just send an email.

How hard is that?

I'll usually email and then call to confirm.

My wife did this for me once but due to severe food poisioning. I literally shite and puked at the same exact time and afterwards fell into a deep sleep in bed. She had to call to let them know since I was out of it.

Does everyone take their sick days? I have only taken one sick day in the last 5 years.

Yeah...with a lot of jobs you only get 2 weeks of paid vacation a year. Not including holidays.

I just don't show up. People assume I'm in the field or at a meeting.

I've had this happen several times over the years. Those employees didn't last long after that. Jail or unconscious would be acceptable exceptions.

Not all of them, but I'll call (e-mail) in sick if I have to wait for the AC repair guy, or something like that, rather than use a vacation day.

Sick days are cheaper than housekeepers.

This. Unless you have kids that are sick and can't find anyone to watch them or you are VERY sick there is no reason to call in.

I dont know what sick days are other than every year in January my wife gets an extra paycheck...even a little more than her normal paycheck...and it's because she never uses her sick days.

She gets 3 weeks vacation and pretty much leaves when she has to except for when she has clinic....but yeah....I like her sick days. They are worth a lot of money

I'd say that 85.38% of sick call-ins are BS regardless of who does the calling.

I know I save my call ins to play hooky. If I'm actually sick I like to spread it around the plant so we can all enjoy it.
