Our defense was already bad this past year. Nowhere to go but up.

How so? I can see uneven play due to youth but with Tolliver, Paris, and Thomas on board and Jackson joining in the fall, someone's gonna work out. And while I prefer Mills at safety, as a worst case scenario he's a pretty solid corner.

Cornerback will not be a problem this year.

Tre White
Ed Paris
Kevin Tolliver
Donte Jackson
Russell Gage
A healthy Dwayne Thomas

No. At least not this season. It's a possibility for 2016, but I wouldn't hold my breath.

Yesterday we worked on goal line situations. I would hope our offense could score "a few touchdowns" (Les speak). Conversely, if our defense shutdown our offense completely In these situations you could change the title of this thread to "Either our offense is much WORSE or we are going to be like the Steel Curtain"

The best running back in the country, an experienced Oline, tons of young talent at Reciever...in theory, we could be very good on offense next year.

lol @ people who read too much into scrimmage numbers

No kidding. Those green shirts and the script and situation play render the scrimmages weak.

Quarterbacks play better when they know they will not be hit like a real game against a rival.

Look, I am just as optimistic about Les/the offense/the QB/ Kevin Steele hire this year as the next guy, but if you are basing that statement on some spring scrimmage stats, you aren't very smart.

Not only will Les lie about the stats and pull numbers out of his arse to appease the media, but the scrimmages are extremely situational based. They could have ran 80% of their plays in the red zone for all you know. Take everything from the spring with a grain of salt.
