Why is it impossible to believe in evolution and a monotheistic God at the same time?

The person who thought of this question should not have children. Problem solved.

Agreed. Forced sterilization.

It more or less has to do with original sin, but I agree with your question.

The child (AKA minor) can't make a decision for themselves yet, you get them baptized for the sake of their mortal soul in accordance with what you believe in case they die before they have the ability to disagree with you an become a heathen. If they agree with you then it's all AOK

It's not, I think OP is trying to get a census of how many people on TD think that way though.

Only if they believe that God's Son died for the sins of all and rose from the grave defeating death.
The Lord I worship has the power to create man and other creatures separately.

Religion maintains that there is something greater than us. The idea is that religion keeps us humble enough to not think of ourselves or our ideas/accomplishments as gods. At least I think that's roughly the idea.

Evolution is very real. There is nothing to not believe in. That would be like asking do you believe that the sky is blue. Evolution is caused by changes in genes over multiple generations that can alter population characteristics.
I am having my son baptized in May.

They aren't. This is just a troll thread where the OP and another poster are trying to lump all Christians into the same boat.

Sprinkled or dunked? Your eternal salvation depends on whether you pick the right one.
