she gonna be rich do!! she wont need to be employed anymore.

actually have a funny story about nypd and psych wards.

a relative of mine spent ten days in the psych ward in NY in the mid 90s. He was working up there as an union electrician and noticed that the fountains had tons of bull frogs in them. Well him and buddy were catching them when nypd rolled up on them wondering what they were using a spot light for. When he told them they were catching frogs to eat, the officer thought he was nuts. Took ten days for one of my uncles to get him out.

In the cops defense, anyone that supports obama is at least a little crazy.
Seriously though, what did she think telling the cops that Obama follows her was going to accomplish?

How does she know she's not emotionally disturbed? Yeah she felt fine after she got out cause they had to spend 8 days getting her chemical imbalance straightened out.

You don;t get locked up in the looney bin for 8 days unless you're continuously exhibiting bizarre behavior the whole time you're in there.

I call BS on her story.

CoCo,I've got a buddy that got so pissed at his wife he told her she was driving him crazy and to take him to the Hospital where he could check himself into the Psych Ward.

Not long after admitting himself he realized he had made a terrible mistake when he saw the people that needed to be there.

He told the Nurse it was a mistake, etc.

No dice.

He called his Doctor.Begging him.

After 24 hrs they transported him tied to a stretcher,by ambulance,to a real Psych Ward,60 miles away in B'ham.

It took him 5 days to get out.

He was about crazy by the time he got out.

He'll never make that threat again.

The only way he'd get admitted and held is if he was considered a threat to himself or others. You don't just walk into a psych unit and get put away for 5 days cause you ask. You have say certain things like you don't think life's worth living anymore.

You're Buddy's bullshitting you and not telling you the whole story either.

That's possible that he's not telling the whole story.

I think he was admitted. He's probably leaving out the parts about him actually acting Psychotic.

A guy I know who was going to a counselor after his nasty divorce passively said; "I'm so mad, I could kill her" while discussing the latest twisted thing she did to screw him.... Even though he had no plan, and it was just a release of anger to say that, he got Two weeks in a psyche ward.

Now that the government runs healthcare and your personal medical records will be shared with them, expect to see much more of this.
Feeling depressed after a divorce? Ask a doctor for an anti-depressant. Doc tells the government. No more gun privileges for Mr. Despondent!

And how are they to know it's "Just a release of anger"? Tell that to her grieving parents?

Ask any Cop how volatile domestic breakups can be. Men pop off and kill their women that are leaving them all the time. He got what he deserved.
Besides if he was stupid enough to even say something like that he needed to get brought back to reality...

I've worked in pysch wards (including involuntary) and I'd be wiling to bet that she has legit bipolar disorder. I'm sure we'll never hear the outcome of this.

?

Please elaborate. You have to be a threat to yourself or others to be committed. That hasn't changed a lick.

FWIW it's pretty easy to get a 72hr comittial for apsych eval in Louisiana. I imagine a liberal stae like NY it would be longer
