Personally, I utilize Google News Tech Section for stuff when I'm away from my iPad. But otherwise, I use the heck out of Flipboard for my Tech News.

For years I'd read the GigaOm section religiously. Their recent decision was fairly shocking and a real bummer as they put out some really high quality content.

I've been reading Wired, Mashable, Fast Company, and Re-Code lately to fill in the gaps. The latter was a recent addition.

What do you all read when it comes to tech news?

Those are the sites I read daily. Occasionally I go to WPCentral, Macrumors and CNet.

That's at least the most common ones, but I have Google alerts set up so I frequently venture beyond my core list. A lot of the above overlap in news coverage, but are distinguished by more thorough hardware reviews or analysis in different areas.

They were listed in CNet's Blog 100 list and had 6.4 million daily readers/subscribers as of their last day of operation, which was 18 days ago.

So really-truth be told-it's just an example of how ignorant you are.

I check Slashdot and Ars Technica daily. If I get bored sometimes I'll read MacRumors.

If a site that basic includes them as a must read, then you know they're ubiquitous. 1.4 billion hits to the site annually at the time they shuttered is proof positive that they were a well respected and highly trafficked site.

I'm just fairly persistent about pointing out GMan's dumbassery.
