Isn't it mostly a breakfast/weekday lunch CBD workers' kinda joint? IIRC, the owner/cook used to be active on NOLA food messageboards a few years ago.

I've wondered about it for a long time, but never been. It's open for dinner, as well.

I follow it on Facebook and the photographs of specials are always enticing. She buys a lot of local ingredients according to posts and pics of ingredients I've seen and works some specials around those, at least at times, from what I can tell. It looks good, but I have no idea otherwise.

Its very good....feels like the 90's in there.

Homemade pasta and sauces. You can literally just order the pasta and red gravy and it's really good.

Went for breakfast once and it was OK.

It's good- and definitely a dinner spot too. Lady can be a bit moody but the food is consistently tasty

Yeah, I remember how she went off once on the nola board when some dumb arse changed her baby's diaper on one of the four tops in her restaurant.

Really, you shouldn't HAVE to get mad about something like that, because it should never happen!!!

I enjoyed it though.

I think I recall that story also.

Are those boards around anywhere to revisit? Wonder what Amarone is up to? Still obsessing over Tom Fitz?

I think justagirl and what's his name broke up.

Feng could be in jail again, I suppose. Lots of characters on that board.

I went for dinner a year or so ago and got Lasagna. It was really good.

Did they stop doing dinner? This is one of my favorite places, so I was sending a friend who is in town there. He just informed me that there are no dinner hours listed on the website. I checked and this is true.

Anyone know if this is a mistake?

Since I missed this thread when it originally existed, I will add my thoughts now.

Best lasagna I have ever had. My wife feels the same. We would go there for no other reason than for her to get the lasagna. When they do their osso bucco specials, I made sure to go. It is truly great food.

Breakfast isn't as great as lunch, because they don't have the same choices. Don't get me wrong, it is still excellent, especially the meatballs, eggs and mozzarella baked open faced on bread; however, the dishes that are truly outstanding were not on the menu for these hours.

I hope they add them if the no dinner is true. I will miss it.

ETA: I just looked through the menu, and it appears the lasagna is there. Crisis averted!

Is her "gravy" sweet or savory?

I find it to be a great balance of the two actually. There's just enough sweetness to cut the acidity. I know the two terms are often mutually exclusive, but in this case they work together.

Then again it has been a year since I have been, since the new baby has kept us from getting out much. My memory may be broken

It's very good. But it is like stepping into 1996.
