Got a race coming up and I want this little bitch to win. Any good training methods?

He's fast as hell, but I think the issue is he doesn't initially start running. He'll sit there, turn his head sideways looking at me like "WTF", scratch his pecker, bite some grass, then start running. I need him to just run.

If it's a wiener dog, tell him to do the exact opposite of what you really want him to do. That's how mine works

Bring over to my house and he can chase live ones in the back yard. Our 6mo lab/boxer mix is pretty damn fast with his huge paws. It was pathetic for a while watching him flop around after them but he's been catching them a lot lately.

You are a bit late if you are just now training for that event. I would go in it this year as a learning experience and start training for next year now. This ain't a game brah, this event is serious business.
