Need to get me a burner for my new crawfish pot. I'm wanting a jet burner...either the bayou classic single jet burner or the double jet? I've heard people say some jet burners will burn a hole in the pot? My pot is a 80 quart aluminum pot. Any recommendations?

Only way a jet burner will burn a hole in your pot is if you run it without water

The double works better with a bigger tank than those 5 gallons exchange ones

Single jet works fine.

Double jet and you may need to get a bigger propane tank, or you will have problems with your regualtor/ tank freezing up.

You can't boil crawfish without a jet burner for any pot over 60qt.

Also for anyone looking to buy, AVOID KING COOKER!!!! I bought one brand new and the connection hose was faulty and wasn't creating a seal. I returned it and got another one. It did the same thing. It's an inferior defective piece of shite.

Always buy the Bayou Classin or Outdoor Gourmet brands.

My single jet w high pressure regulator boils my 100qt pot 3/4 full of water from cold in 40 minutes. 2nd sack reboil in about 6-8, depending on when i light it again.

As fin said earlier, the double jet w larger tanks can do it in 15-20....

I just bought the double jet burner and changed out the regulator\hose that came with it to better equipment.

Mix that with a Cajun Rocket pot... I should be boiling water in less than 10 minutes easily

Just want to reiterate that a 5 gallon propane tanke WILL freeze with a double jet. Hell, the 10 freezes if you let it get low enough. That double jet is a bad mammajamma.

Yes the exchange are five gallon. You can get bigger sizes at just about any hardware store.

I call bullshite..! I have had the double jet for about 3 years now have never had problems with using a 5 gallon tank..! Don't know what you guys are talking about. Double jet will have water boiling in about 15-20 min..!

Mine only freezes if it's not full. I only boil crawfish 4-5 times a year, so I just hit up the Uhaul store and make sure it's topped off.
